The article in the second link is interesting. A hedge fund that buys and sells watches. Brilliant! Except you cannot what what you buy; the biggest tease ever.

Re: The greatest dive watch ever?

I cannot argue with anything in this posting re the 1665 or for that matter the Subs, BP, Polaris, Ploprof, etc... I might throw in an original Panerai Rad into the equation, and well I won't throw the Doxa 300t into the above mix at the same level, I still love it! There is a reason my collection h...

This one is back into the rotation after going back to faded Pepsi on the bracelet, and each time I wear it I remember how supremely comfortable and cool it is!

Re: The Micro Brand thread: Show 'em Bitches

Had to think about, but I got nothing  (unless you count Doxa). I have owned a bunch (Helson, Ocean7, Bathys, Lum-Tec, Benarus, MKII, Corvus, Kobold and even Bremont) and liked just about everyone of them in some way or another, but in getting down to 15 watches this past year they were all s...

Re: WRUW 10/11/12???

A lot of cool vintage out there today!

I am back to the 337 on the strap that Northwestguy (John) sent me. I really love this watch, and actually pulled the trigger on two really nice new straps for this and the 106 that are in route!

Re: Wearing a tool watch VS Depreciation

No it really has very little to do with price. Scratches and dings bug me whether on my watch or my car. I would hate looking at it every day thinking about the stupid thing I did to cause it. This is where I fall. I tend to baby watches that are pristine regardless of price, and wear as a "tool wa...

Mixing it up a little at work with the 1665 on a black nato.

My Last 3 Vintage Divers Standing

I have moved a number of my vintage divers and in taking some other pics today I realized there are only three left, orange from the late 60's, blue from the mid 70's and black from the early 80's. Most of what I have now is actually just vintage-inspired or new takes on a classic (JLC Polaris, BPFF...

Sub-C vs SMP-C in Pics

Took some pics of the SubC next to the SMPc after putting on the new speedy-style bracelet and had some nearly identical view wrist shorts so I thought I would post some compare and contrast shots. These two really do make a great 1-2/Black-Blue punch. They are almost identical in size with the SMP ...

The Omega SMP ceramic on the speedy-style seamaster bracelet today. Really like this combo, but really miss having some micro-adjust after wearing the SubC so much.

PAM 337 on OEM Black Calf

The 24mm/22mm OEM black calf with black stitching I bought for the 42mm Rad 337 came in. Definitely a great and comfortable look for work, and at my wife's insistence I kept it on to go out Friday night with jeans for dinner and to see the Rock of Ages play and it definitely can pull double duty for...

Re: Sunday 9/30 WRUW

Welcome back DWC (or mattwu.com). SMP today. I found a like new SMP speedy style bracelet for my Omega SMP ceramic and it really turns this watch around for me on bracelet. The new Bond bracelet is definitely well made, but this old style bracelet de-blings the watch a bit, drops over 10 grams in we...

There are, scattered throughout the country, multiple vintage Doxas containing leftover particles of your DNA wimpering in silence at the Omega-whore you have become. Why thou has forsaken them?

Nice SM120.

The Omega SMP Bond ceramic today. Really like the watch, but still not 100% sold on the heavier, non-adjustable Bond bracelet. Bought it for work, but I think I like it more on a blue Nato (which is a running theme for me  ). http://i701.photobucket.com/albums/ww20/RALAustin/004-62.jpg http:/...
