Really nice G2G at a local restaurant. Pic Heavy
A couple of the guys that run the RedBarDetroit meetings called me up for drinks and dinner at a local restaurant. Great times, amazing watches, and the food wasn't half bad. I had an amazing Bison Meatloaf Patty Melt. Enjoy the photos, brothers. My old Longines with beautiful movement. http://uploa...

I always liked how John Mayor genuinely loves watches, I could easily see him at a G2G and just checking out people's collections. He does come off a bit pretentious (I didn't think his letter to IWC was the "shot heard round the world", as he describes it) Overall, always love seeing someone genuin...

Re: Lifespan of OEM bands
Not sure if off-topic, but a lot of "ze Germans" that come from Germany at my work (German company) all wear Nomos on stock Shell Cordovan, and they have had them for years, they look great still.
I think it will last a decade if you don't sweat it up, or get it too wet.

Zenith project - in the final stage!
So I found this gem at a local garage sale, in the bottom of a trunk. Missing some components in the zenith 146HP column wheel movement. Also the handset was missing. Well, two watchmakers couldn't source parts, and the third finally gave me the call: we've got everything! Six months of having the w...

Love it! These micro bronze and brass watches are so fun and affordable. I was looking at that exact one when I was shopping. Ended up with the Maranez instead.
