Re: G-Shock Event with Kikuo Ibe June 21st!
Unfortunately, due to health concerns, G-Shock founder and industry legend Kikuo Ibe won't be able to travel to the US. Sadly, this means that we've had to cancel our highly-anticipated event, but Mr. Ibe's health is of paramount importance and we wish him a speedy recovery. We apologize for any inc...

The new Kimono GS LEs
https://timelessluxwatches.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/GS-Kimono-Compilation-Newsletter-6.jpg We got to take a much closer look at Grand Seiko’s three new Kimono LEs this week and took plenty of photos of each. If you’re a Grand Seiko fan, you already know how hard it is to photograph GS dials, ...

Re: New Grand Seiko Limited Editions! Photos From Vegas
They sell so many watches in the DJ style and they’re all too thick. Only the quartz are under 13mm. Are these ones all 13.5mm? That’s as thick as a Rolex sub. Too thick for what they are. I imagine thick exhibition back doesn't help. Kinda the same problem with Omega thickness Yeah but the movemen...

Re: New Grand Seiko Limited Editions! Photos From Vegas
I'm ok with their thickness, but I would love to see them make thinner watches down the road, at least as an option. It's not like they can't do it, they could just pop 9S64s into everything, but for whatever reason they don't want to.

New GS Limited Editions! https://timelessluxwatches.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/New-GSes-Main-1.jpg We just saw three new Grand Seiko limited editions in Las Vegas! These are being called “Kimono” dials. The prices are just estimates for the moment, so keep in mind these may change as they get c...

Re: The Timeless Luxury Watches Guide to all of A. Lange & Söhne
"defacto" Lange 1 for me-- that blue dial is hot... I think I'd have a hard time choosing that over Eric's GO. Bought used, it's probably 70% of the watch at 15% of the cost. The Panomatics are gorgeous. One of their big advantages over the Lange, at least for me, is that they're also available in ...

Re: The Timeless Luxury Watches Guide to all of A. Lange & Söhne
This is a good review. ALS is the only richemont brand I would consider buying a modern watch from. Most are too large for me though. You should really list thickness for all the watches and take a side view profile picture of each. That’s where ALS tends not to work for me. What's your ideal thick...

Re: Black Bay GMT, 58, S&G & Tudor 1926 First Impressions
58 on bracelet for me, absolutely love it. I would change the crown (as mentioned) to just screw all the way, but its not an issue for me. That size, from brand with a lot of history and with an inhouse movement with a great power reserve... it's a steal. I bet they do a blue dial in the next year ...

We do sometimes but we haven't tried at a third party location before. I think we could get it set up if there was enough interest.

That seems to be true, and the '58, not coincidentally, is named after the year of the first Big Crown model, so perhaps that's intentional.

Re: Black Bay GMT, 58, S&G & Tudor 1926 First Impressions
My buddy John and I are attending the local Rolex / Tudor preview on Wednesday, so I’ll check this sucker out. I really don’t understand the crown design, other than that they wanted to be different. The “guts” of the crown are basically like the other Rolex stuff. It comes from the historic 7924 "...

Re: Black Bay GMT, 58, S&G & Tudor 1926 First Impressions
Took me half the article to figure out what you were talking about when you said S&G, then I realized you meant steel and gold. Never seen it abbreviated that way; usually it's TT. The GMT and 58 are very nice. But the BB crowns still kill me. Notwithstanding the potential corrosion issues, they ne...

Re: Black Bay GMT, 58, S&G & Tudor 1926 First Impressions
I clearly don’t dress well enough to be a watch guy in Texas. It appears the BB58 still has the goofy crown sleeve thingy, but it’s silver in color as on the Ranger - can you confirm? Yes, it still has a small amount of exposed crown tube, and in this case it appears to be polished steel. Both the ...

Lol yeah, annoyingly at this stage in development we rely on renders. We'll get photos of the prototypes as soon as possible, of course.
