Thank you all for your input. Apparently this is something that happens routinely, meaning packages that are supposed to go to other shipping companies end up with the wrong one. I don't have a statistic but the supervisor told me that it is a common occurrance, not just the driver pick up the wrong...

Maybe a stupid question but did you try replacing the battery? Otherwise a movement swap is easy and those movements should be easily available.

The hobby works for me very well. I don't need to spend an arm and a leg to get a nice watch and I can always sell/trade so nothing is wasted.

The key is to do what one really wants and like affordably.

There are plenty of watches, don't need to spend thousands one just one...

Unfortunately Marathon prices have skyrocketed. They were always pretty high but recently I think they went through the roof. Maybe a good idea but If you do please use the Seiko VH movement with the seconds hand that ticks 4 times per second also make a version with numbers type 2

Interesting. I have had hundreds of Seikos and only one had a bad movement... They normally run nicely and keep time, they are also easy to adjust if one knows what to do. The accuracy on mine has wandered from -3m/d to +6m/d randomly. My watch guy felt he nailed it down, but two weeks later it ble...
