Re: Our 5 year anniversary is coming up soon
Happy 5th, DWC! Just to dial back the maudlin and keep it macho: cool place, hilarious posts, great info, sometimes boobs, a few grumpy a-holes. Met a few I'm proud to call friends. Have strong feelings of positivity towards this forum. You guys up for a strap giveaway? Maybe 5 winners? Suggestions ...

"How bronze cases are made"
These dudes manufacture the bronze cases for Anonimo. Good read with some nice pictures. If you haven't checked out the site yet, SJX features great content with gorgeous photography. I had the pleasure of meeting him in person on a trip to Singapore. Cool cat for sure. Amazing that I typed all of t...

Re: New Halios Delfin Pics
Any new updates on this one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I will hopefully have a working proto by the end of this month. After that, hopefully May or June for release. Hopefully I can stop hoping and get things going on time. Hopefully. Undecided on the secondary strap yet - the Cordura is a...

Okie, no prob! Ask away and I will check in and provide answers. Some FAQs that I usually receive: - the lug holes will be drilled through - shooting for a May release, but I don't seem to be very adept at deadlines OR lists - ballpark price will be in line with the Tropik - I will re-use the same b...

Looks hot but aftermarket DLC pieces seem to take forever to move. Perhaps part of the fun of owning a modded watch is the fact that you're the one who gets it done?

FAMAS with the FELIN system...looks so cool. Transmits to the helmet-mounted display so the soldier can fire from behind cover.
PO looks legit no? The text looks like a pyramid but it's just the blurred focus.

A friend of mine who got to molest both versions at Basel told me that the titanium was the one to get. Apparently it was uber impressive in the metal.
Based on the pictures, I'd go titanio as well. That mofo looks evil.

BTW the knife material is SM-100, which is not steel but a nickel titanium alloy that is superelastic, extremely corrosion resistant and lighter than steel. Anybody own an SM-100 knife? Apparently the material alone adds about $300 to the price of the finished product...

Re: DLC Finish Co.
How has it held up? Far from a hard-use watch, so it has held up very well. I agree that having a watch coated murders resale on it, so you should plan on either keeping it or losing a lot of money on it. P/S: do not like Cerakote at all...it really does look like the spray-on bedliner stuff for tr...

Saw this posted on Watchfreeks. Could this be Tony V? Pictures look similar to the ones he used to post back in the day, but I could way off-base. Re: Why do people go after copies of the original ?
Hommages are not my thing, but I would never take anyone to task for collecting or liking them. I love modern reissues though - it's exciting when a brand reinterprets a classic but tries to maintains the soul of the original. Doesn't always work, but it's crazy exciting to see them try. As far as t...

Speaking of Pelican cases...
Here's a very attractive alternative with solid aesthetics. This was the case design that was ripped off by a certain (in)famous watch company. It's made by a Canadian (yay,eh) company called Plasticase. http://www.plasticase.com/gestion/colorproduct/904-0058.jpg Full disclosure: I am the owner of P...
