It clearly isn't a cheap and nasty watch, but it does a pretty good impersonation of one, to my eyes. :puke:

Cowboy pirate

He's only gone and done it: results in just now, 1st-class honours in sports science  Hugely proud parents (but how the hell did this happen so quickly?)

Re: Sinn U50 photos

What a great watch, love the idea of it being a smaller U1. The only downside for me would be the square on the end of the second hand: I think I'd find it a bit distracting, looks a bit too big for the dial. Still, very nice piece, congrats

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

Bought Oliver a plate carrier for his birthday; he know thinks he's Ross Edgley  Body armor? Is he in the military? Probably for CrossFit. I learned something new today. Thanks! Yes, that's what it's for. He just completed his degree in sports science and he and his friend...

Re: Kids growing up

Thanks guys, appreciate your kind words. I think the "cowboy pirate" pic is my favourite of all the shots we have of him, and really seems to sum up his character. The surfing shot is significant for me, because he was quite clumsy and uncoordinated as a kid, he's dyslexic and we thought perhaps dys...

Haha, although feminist critical theory would question the gender of God, and therefore . . . never mind

Kids growing up

My son is 21 tomorrow, and sorting through pictures with which to embarrass him I found a couple I thought I'd share here, a kind of 'then and now'

Then . . . now

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

Hope you can too Joe. I've been working from home two or three days a week for ten years, the other days are spent in the field so to speak. My wife works from home also. It's really something you get used to. I can't imagine having to go into an office every day. Although I'm retired doing part-ti...

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

Shameless self-promotion, but I wrote a story about my time in lockdown and how I only wore one watch the whole time. Shame it wasn't a diver... Maybe for the next quarantine? ;) https://www.ablogtowatch.com/one-watch-quarantine-pandemic-jaeger-lecoultre-geophysic/ https://www.ablogtowatch.com/wp-c...
