Re: Armida A5 or Manta Ray

I pulled the hook on an A5 a few minutes ago. Got a real good price on a never used one. Couple hundred off. That sealed the deal. You will really like the A-5, ...it is a hell of a watch for the money, and if you got a smoking deal on it, all the better. The manta ray, is a good watch as well, for...

Absolute love this watch.

Question, did the bracelet come with it? Never seen this or the chrono version with a bracelet before.

I imagine since they are the same case for the Miyota and the ETA versions, should be no issue to swas out the movements .

Re: List of Handmade and Custom Strap Makers

I have had excellent experiences and great service from Steve-O straps in the past. Quality far surpasses price. I have often wondered why he does not charge more. His website is definitely more reflective of his price than the quality of his work! http://www.steveostraps.com/ ADDED to the list. I ...

Re: Me likey the Steinhart patina lume watches!

You know, Of course they are Rolex Homages. But not everyone has $5000 to spend on a Rolex. These are not replicas, the bracelets are really different, and they are not claiming to be anything original or special either. They are what they are. Alot of watch companies homage each other. If you dont ...

Re: LUM-TEC visit

FWIW, the bezel action on my custom Semi Tac 500M was absolutely perfect. There were many complaints though and I never understood why they couldn't adjust it in some way. This is an email I got from Prometheus, about this type of bezel, same one on the Lumtec Please kindly note that we are not usi...

I really like this one. This was a special edition, its not on Steinharts website, you can only buy it through a dutch website, its exclusive to them. I like the white dial with the vintage lume markers, just really good looking. http://www.thedivewatchconnection.com/forum/download/file.php?id=5851

Re: LUM-TEC visit

The bezel on the Lumtec, is not a mfg error, believe it or not. It is a type of bezel that the factory offers, and that factory has supplied the same bezel to Deep Blue for a tritium diver and one of the newer Prometheus models as well. As far as $500 for a quartz......Luminox, Reactor, on an on, qu...

Re: No Damon, but still looks good

NO! I absolutely love the Bourne Trilogy. One of my favorites period. Continuing the series, without Matt Damon, who made the franchise popular and was in all 3 movies............fail. If nothing they could have done a movie, called Treadstone or something, to play off the Bourne movie with another ...

OK Chef, noted. Problem is I'm in HK and buying on US (or any overseas) forum (as much as I am happy to) is difficult for the seller as they have to post to me in HK, whereas its less of a hassle for dealers - most of whom are set up for international mailing. Well, if your in HK, and end up still ...

Dont want to hijack your thread, or your excitement for your new watch, but for just a tad over $200, you could have had one of these.

I would personally stay away from Debaufre. Yeah, I have owned many 8215 as well, and while we all know the sweep is not the smoothest, it is not supposed to be erratic like that. Very suprised Chris gave that re...

What an absolute shame. The last 10 years of her life, overshadowed alot of her former glory as well. Its wierd how some celebs handle stardom, and others crack and go to drugs, think they are invincible, etc, and ruin their life. You know , we all joke alot, but when you think about it, yes they ar...
