Re: Ha Totally Forgot about this

glad i could help regardless of the naysayers :) It's just like anything else; personal taste dictates your direction. I heard a saying once attributed to a grandad. Basically he said, "it's a good thing there is variety and the people to explore all the options, otherwise, everyone would want to b...

They left one of those slips and the delivery guy scrawled in the signature box hoping it would be there the next day so he could leave it. I took it inside so he couldn't get it and he sti...

Not a fan of the width or length of the hands. The minesweeper font doesn't jive with the rest of the watch.

Do pretty much anything in the way of maintenance with a solid set of hand tools on that thing. Makes me wish there weren't so many damn electronics in the vehicles of today. I might keep them a bit longer.

PVD watches normally don't interest me, but the Dubh Linn is pretty hot. Pat, is that yours that just arrived?

I stepped into a thread called "For the Tuna crew" and read the phrase "wrist cheese" and wondered if I should proceed any further.

Re: New ride.

Clips are cool for trail and such, but if you ever head north and hit some trails with big drops, you will want a good set of platform pedals. For platforms that are good and won't break the bank, look at Atomlab General Issues. I always swap my pedals depending on what I am up to. It's just far eas...

Less talk, more pictures, right? I'll try to be quick... Been lurking for a few weeks and this seemed like my type of place. I'm a US Navy Surface Warfare type getting ready to head to Yokosuka, Japan for sea duty. I have had some entry level watches in the past, with a Steinhart Ocean 1 GMT being m...
