Re: 2019 Watch Goals

I cut waaay back in 2018, due in no small part to some serious family issues etc. That’s all sorted, now, so I am in a rebuilding phase. It’s actually kind of liberating, because the collection is a bit of a clean slate. I was among the first on the list for the BB GMT, and finally got mine in Nove...

Re: 2019 Watch Goals

White dialed ceramic bezel Daytona at something close to list price :scream: :scream: Good luck! You, me, and many, many others. Either that or the 126660 with blue dial and I’m ready to go. Alas, Rolex doesn’t want to sell me a watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Well, grail achieved today! ...

I don’t like the blue markers. I like the bezel, though.
This. My only complaint, really. The OG SM500 had its quirks but I've always like the case design and the technology.

I'd fuck with this tho. https://www.bremont.com/images/collection/_1000x600_fit_center-center/Bremont-S501-Side_180226_095427.png Ditto. I’ve never liked the day/date with the obnoxious surround on the older Suoermarine. This watch fixes that. I still think that the best watches they make are the M...

I’d switch to metric in a heartbeat. What I refuse to do is put a comma for my decimal place.

For real, though. That comma shit is for heathens.

Ahoy Dan! Welcome. That was quite an introduction. I suspect that many of us in this hobby are at least somewhat OCD. Certainly there is an obsessive component to my collecting. I really appreciate you mentioning your autism. My oldest girl is autistic, and it helps as a parent to be able to cast ey...

Re: Watch and Listen Podcast, Matt Farrer and Cameron Weiss

Did you see his last few episodes? He was pushing MVMT watches while he was wearing an AP on his wrist. He used to rock an LV Sub. IIRC, Marcus Vandenberg is hawking MVMT, too. BTW, his name is "Farah". He still has the LV. He said his dad gave it to him. He has a bunch of high-end shit. He...

Re: Mike Pearson steps down as Bremont USA Rep

Mike is going to be very hard to replace. It seems like he knows what he is doing and it’s hard to blame the guy. It’s not just that he travels a ton, but a lot of his travel is at semi short notice. Tough on a young family. I’m anxious for the announcement about where he ends up.

Resurrecting this thread to add my .02: I've been given one to test drive for a few weeks, and I'm really impressed. I was always skeptical of the aesthetics, for the same reasons others have mentioned, namely the handset. But the inky black dial is cool and IMO the 41mm size is ideal. I'm warming u...

You guys are awesome, thanks for the feedback. Not really any surprises here, I kinda knew the AT and SMP chrono were gonna get hit hard. Guys, at the risk of sounding like an ignoramous I have to ask: where are you getting these? I've spoken to a pair of AD's here Stateside and they tell me they won't have them until October or November? Would love to try one sooner.

Re: New Speedmaster

I'd hit it.

It's NOT a substitute for the Pro, so IMO is aimed at those guys who collect Omega specifically. And yeah, the price NIB is nuts. But it's a nice watch for sure... captures some of the essence of the racing dial pieces w/o being over the top with the colors.
