The seller of that Stratos is in Kuwait which could be why it is difficult for him to sell. I have dealt with him many times and he is 100% trustworthy. If you can get it for $3500 I don't think you will lose on it.

Whatever you decide I think it is key to have an easy strap change system and make sure most any strap will fit on the watch.

Get it done. Iwc will refinish the watch and it will look like new. It's a no brainer. Iwc knows how the watch is supposed to be finished. It's just a form letter they use for everyone.

Regarding your original question. I know the seller and he is okay. No worries.

Not my cup of tea. My honest opinion is scrap the idea. I think the market is very limited. Make it custom if someone wants to pony up the cash.

I have also used cgi for about a year. Great company to deal with a very easy to get started. Even for people who don't ship often you will save $$ and it's easier to use than USPS.

I'm going to pull out the paperwork I have tomorrow and see what it says there. I've sent it several watches - but to Dallas - with no issues. I was talking to the service manager, Danielle at the RSC in Ontario. After a discussion about warranties, she told me that they are not transferable. She said if I bought a watch today and sold it privately the next day, the new owner would have no warranty. This came as a surprise since everyone ...
