Re: New Seiko Thread

8CFD22D5-D19C-4584-A98D-B79264AEBCA7.jpeg Wow. Just wow. Got a '75 in there, by chance? If so, I'd love to buy it. 1971s, 3s and 6s! Suprised no 1975s. But these are really nice ones! You know, it seems like Rolex, Omega, and Seiko all made fewer watches in 1975 than in other years in the 1970s. I ...

Re: New Sinn Models For BaselWorld 2020

For those who have a problem with the weight of the U1, you should try it on an Isofrane. It is a game changer as far as comfort with that watch. Agree. This watch is overall heavy on bracelet, and a little top heavy on nylon. Wears very well on chunky aftermarket rubber, such as Isofrane. I put mi...

Re: New Sinn Models For BaselWorld 2020

I don't suspect Chris is interested in designing a watch he would never wear. Not sure the U50 Pro will happen, but then again I don't know anything.
And yeah, the U1 Pro is still my favorite. By miles.

YouTube TV is awesome. I would never go back to DirectTV, and I'm saving over $100 a month with it.

Re: New Sinn Models For BaselWorld 2020

Couple of other thoughts on the U50: -I like the fact that it is smaller, lighter, and more easily wearable than the U1. That said, it seems a bit incongruous to have this uber-toolish diver in what amounts to a Submariner-size case. I think it would have made more sense if they had refined the dial...

Re: New Seiko Thread

Winner, winner. Except for that price. I'm not a buyer for a mid range Seiko at that price. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but I’m half way there. Remember the days of sbdx001 at $1700 with the weakened Yen? And flipping them for $1400-$1500 all day, sometimes numerous times for us flippers. That wa...

U50 is a winner. I just wish they did something to differentiate it from just being a smaller U1, though.

I like them. As said, a bit difficult to adjust initially. Very interesting texture and colors, and fancier than a standard nylon strap.

Mike, make sure you put those little stickers on the inner lug holes, as this will evidently gouge them out otherwise.

Re: New Panerai 1117

I just can't believe Panerai jumped the shark like this. For a long time, they were far and away my favorite brand. Then came a million models in the range, reissues of supposed LEs/SEs, snap-on casebacks, and then this. Dang.

And if so, thoughts on one of these as a daily wearer? I'm 98% sure I know which one I'm going to get, but interested in anyone's perspective while I'm sitting at home bored. BTW., the Explorer would be a 214270 Mk2
