Re: Tissot's Heritage 1973

Nice. Reminds me of the original Seastar/Navigator with the Lemania based movements.

Re: What do you drive???

My faithful F-150 XLT work truck. Driven all over North Georgia for the past ten years doing property underwriting inspections. 389,000 + miles on the odometer, and she's never let me down. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/8064/0ngM1i.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img921/8133/hE5OIT.jpg

Dan Henry 1964 Gran Turismo

I really like the vintage look of this new(ish) addition to the Dan Henry lineup. I'm good with the Seiko Meca-Quartz movement, love the beads of rice bracelet, but am not so sure about the 38mm case size. I realize that the size is a nod to many chronographs produced in the 1960's, and own a few 38...

Re: Maurice Lacroix Aikon Venturer

Love them or hate them, I imagine that the bezel tabs are designed to mimic those on the standard model.

At first I wasn't too crazy about the Aikon line, but I like these. Especially the blue one.

Re: Ahhhhh, screw it

I've been on a vintage quartz kick for a while, and find myself wearing them more and more than my mechanicals. I don't own any modern quartz watches , but am considering something in between - a Seiko PADI SUN065 GMT with Kinetic movement. That's new territory for me. I've read of the problems that...

This arrived today. Prefer the 1973 heritage I used to have but got this for less then half the going rate for the 1973 model.
Nice KonTiki. Looks great.

Re: New Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk collection

Decent enough looking watch, although I'm not a fan of most of the new Breitling designs. As stated by others, very generic. At least with the previous models you knew immediately that you were looking at a Breitling.

I feel I do a pretty good job with pics and descriptions. If I get the "can you provide exact timekeeping data and a better description on the condition?" I'm out. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk I don't know what "exact" means, but I'd put you straight on the "asshole list" if you threw me at...

Re: Potential PITA Buyers

Say you have a watch you haven’t worn in a day or two, and it needs fully wound. You realize this right before you plan to beat it. So you stuff it back in the pants, Zip, get the lotion and tissues off your lap and put the watch on your wrist because you know that MF will be wound tight as possibl...

Potential PITA Buyers

Ever told someone that a watch was on hold even though it wasn't, just because you can tell that they're going to be a huge pain in the ass if you sell to them?

I tell my wife that incoming packages (the ones she sees anyway :shifty: ) are trades. Pretty sure she's onto me though.

Almost bought an original one last year. Passed because it was only 36mm, but cool watch though. Guy only wanted $225 - should have picked it up.

Re: Incoming Hamilton model 21 chronometer

Well bought a new toy to go with this chronometer. This sextant was used along with this chronometer to get a navigation fix so you know exactly were you were at sea maybe since I got a lot of time on my hands being retired and all I mite figure how it works. Been looking at these for a while on go...

I have a couple watches listed on the FS board on here, where I got busy and never bothered to sell. Alternately, tons of guys don't mark their shit "sold".

I'm not seeing the huge problem here.

Proceed if you like, however, please hold all " it's part of selling", "HTFU", and "don't be a pussy" comments unless you're about to explode. Chances are if you've ever sold anything on the sales forums, you've received one ...
