Re: $2400

We don’t qualify either since we sold the mtn house last year and the profit is added to our adjusted gross income. Personally, I think the $1200 is the wrong approach and is not nearly enough to sustain people who’ve lost their jobs but still have mouths to feed and bills to pay, but are being tol...

Re: $2400

I’m amazed I got it. By the math from the sources I saw my income was going to drastically reduce it. Getting furloughed at the end of last year must have helped.

Re: New Ball Watches

They always get close, but screw something up. The first one would be so much better without the day window. I disagree. I love the day/date and think it looks great on this model. First ball watch I really have liked in a long time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Agree. With my job and wei...

That’s awesome! I’ve only ever had standard short skateboards. It’s cool but I barely ride these days or this would be tempting.

A version of the watch I was slow to come around to. I now prefer it to the SBBN015. Unfortunately I sold it before realizing this.

This. Isofrane is probably the most worn strap in my box, > 50% of the time.
I’ve been without one for awhile. Just recently remedied that one. Excellent strap.

Re: G Shock Square (5600) metal "mods"

I think these mods are cool. Some people at WUS get worked up over these as blasphemous since the parts are aftermarket and do have logos. While I’ve had a number of G-Shocks over the years I haven’t been much of a fan until the metal squares happened. I’ll always have at least one metal square G.

Re: real-world experience of MM

I should have kept mine. I got frustrated when it had movement issues and I didn’t want to deal with it after having issues with two Seikos before it. I should have gotten it fixed instead of selling it cheap.

Re: New Seiko Thread

Ahhh for the days when $1200-$1300 got you an 8L35 in a diver that people compared to Rolex and other major makers. I like that Seiko is offering these new ones but damn it’s hard to forget what a good deal the sbdx001 was. Even the special edition versions were comparable to the new 6R stuff. Any ...

I still love Seiko but I really haven’t bought any divers in a while. I can’t say I attribute this to Seiko, but buying Seikos without ratcheting bezels has done away with this problem for me.

My last two vehicles have been white. While I let my truck get dirty and use it like a truck, it’s not as bad as I would have originally envisioned being white. I wish I was ok with leasing and if it works well for you and you like regularly upgrading it’s a great option and much cheaper than dealin...

I have only two automatics now and I keep them wound well enough swapping that it’s rare I have to set them, but I wouldn’t mind getting another quartz again. I’d like to get a Tuna. Quartz would be a much better choice for my job. I recently switched jobs which within a month I’ll have doubled my ...
