Re: From Forum fave to pay no mind ...

I loved it in photos and bought one with a bracelet (and several straps). But, when I actually had it on my wrist I just couldn't warm to the width of the bracelet/straps--I guess I'm too traditional. It lasted a week and I sold it (and took a good hit on it). I keep looking at them and liking them,...

Re: Resco Bullfrog is available - be nice on WUS

I don't have any hate towards Smitty at all. But I had one of the first Patriots, and it was not that nice a watch: bezel was misaligned and way too loose. Had to send it back multiple times for service (and they wanted me to pay shipping BOTH ways). Movement had to be replaced, crown repaired, etc....

Re: CD-1 first dial

White dials, although not normally my cuppa, would probably be very cool with blue hands. That might lead me to change my whole opinion. Not matter what, I'm still in for one when they come out.

Re: Tudor Heritage Nato Strap?

That might fit better, not sure if the lug-to-lug length is the same between the two watches. The strap has sewn-in springbars that are an exact, tight fit, it is made for the Heritage Chrono.

I totally dig it. If it is offered as an option with the CD-1 (still anxiously awaiting) I could see getting one.

Re: Contacted by a scammer

Yeah, he contacted me yesterday as well using the same address. He actually sent me photos of the watch I was looking for (both lifted from WUS) and I questioned him about that. He told me his computer had crashed, yada yada. I can't believe he was actually stupid enough to use Nick's references, as...

Re: Upcoming from Resco

Well, has anyone checked out the movement to be used? A "Swiss" Valanvron 24--looks (and from what I can find) to be a re-worked in Switzerland Chinese Seagull movement. And he wants that kind of scratch for the new watches?

Nalu is outta control with the Resco fanboi shite..... :snooty: yes he is. he was blasting the last dude for complaining that his watch had to go back two times for issues. :banplz: Yeah, tha...

Re: Hump day! WRUW 4/11/12

That's a great watch Brice. It's always been on the "gotta get one" list. I like the strap it comes with, but Longines could have done better. That's a good strap watch, and there are a bunch of cool combos out there. Grab one of those SWISS Tropics off Ebay, or a knock off Tropic if you don't want...

Re: LE and the CD-1

I've liked this version the best. Todd - can Fricker cases support a bracelet ?? You should see the problems Korsbek is having dealing with Fricker about bracelets. It is so bad he will not be offering bracelets in the future. The reason I never offered them in the first place, is there is German, ...

So you're the one who got it. I'd been going back and forth on that watch for a couple days, and by the time I made up my mind--gone. Nice, nice catch.

Re: BASEL: Bremont Victory LE - pretty F'n awesome

I just got an e-mail from one of the Bremont dealers in the UK, and he says the watch is going to be just a bit north of 12K pounds--so, a bit less than $20K. Anybody else in for one? (cough, cough).

Hey, Todd, this is the one I've been waiting for. I'm happy to pony up for a pre-order on the CD-1. Just put me on the list and let me know when/how much. Too cool.

Re: Sinn 103 ... anyone got one?

Man, I dig the look of these watches. Started researching the 103 and when I read all the technology behind the AR Diapal I was pretty amazed. I have traditionally veered away from titanium watches, as there seems to be a disconcerting lack of heft--guess I've become too accustomed to my steel dive ...
