Re: The crown on the RESCO Patriot sure is beefy!

Good looking prototype. The reason why he is using the Russian movt. is because LumTec uses it. But I heard LumTec was going to stop using them in the future.

If he changed the name and put in a date wheel then it would be a consideration. Oh and dropped the price would help too.

Re: Alfa comes out finally

Sweet looking Alfa! Never owned but I wish the US sold some of the newer ones. I owned a few Fiat's which were super cool but they were a pain in the a@@. Rambam, that paint job on your old car looks deep! Who ever did it knows how to get all the shine out of the can, that is for sure. Hey Doctorc s...

My Marcello C Tridente chrono has been the best running watch I have owned so far. Last time I checked it lost 3 seconds in a week. ;)

You are right about Kent but he stopped checking his emails so I don't know if he is doing anymore work or not.

Re: Rolex GMT Master question

They werent cheap by any means, I think the LV they wanted 9,500 for it. Now the SuperOcean I checked was really nice but way flashy. The new Tag F1 was a really good looking watch too, I had a older one with the plastic bezel that was garbage. A few weeks ago when I was traveling home on leave I st...

Re: Rolex GMT Master question

A few weeks ago when I was traveling home on leave I stopped at a Rolex AD in Baharain to look around. Honestly I was considering buying one but after trying on the LV, GMT and Yachtmaster I honestly wasn't too impressed. I think if I ever do get one it would be a older SD. Don't ask me why but they...

Re: Seiko 6309 back from MCWW.

It is definitely a sweet watch. The lume on it turned out pretty good but if I had to do it all over again I think I would use Kent at Everest if possible. Not trying to take anything away from Jack but look at these lume pics of my Marcello C Kent did and you will understand. And Jay is once again ...

Re: Seiko 6309 back from MCWW.

Thanks for all the great feedback on the watch. It hasnt left my wrist in the last few days.

Now for the lume, Jack did a good job and it only took a few weeks. Now his quality isn't as good as Kent at Everest but Kent takes about 2 months.

The next guy I am going to try is Randall Benson.

Seiko 6309 back from MCWW.

Well I bought a 6309 a while back and sent to Jay to replace the gasket's in it and get it relumed. He sent it to Jack ay IWW to relume it. Check out the pics and let me know what you think of it. Plus the bracelet is from William J on SCWF with Swedefreak endlinks on it. It is a good combo. :thumbs...

Re: RESCO: Another budding US watch company

I already slammed this guy on WUS for name dropping and also for using a Russian NOS movement. For the price it should be a new mvt. and a american product if called a Patriot. Plus the watch is made by Lumtec with all their feature for a stupid price. He said he gave a discount to all of the miltar...

Well you can see which one I kept out to wear for the trip home but it was a tough desicion since I kept changing my mind. Do Hampton's have in-room safes? I don't know I will be traveling the whole time, so no hotels for me. Damn, I loving these pics. That Hamilton pic is really cool. And that "Gr...

I think the SS bracelet tones it down and looks good. Jay at MCWW wears his on a black Nato I think. Nice looking watch either way you go. :salute:

Re: Seiko SBDX001 Marinemaster test drive?

Jamie, please post those pics up. So the MM is actually bigger I guess height wise than the Tsunami? Thanks for the info because it is a tough decision when alot of watches have do fanboys out there. So some opinions are all good about that particular name brand no matter what(Jason's recliner). An...
