Re: Me likey the Steinhart patina lume watches!

I really like this one. This was a special edition, its not on Steinharts website, you can only buy it through a dutch website, its exclusive to them. I like the white dial with the vintage lume markers, just really good looking. http://www.thedivewatchconnection.com/forum/download/file.php?id=5851

Re: LUM-TEC visit

The bezel on the Lumtec, is not a mfg error, believe it or not. It is a type of bezel that the factory offers, and that factory has supplied the same bezel to Deep Blue for a tritium diver and one of the newer Prometheus models as well. As far as $500 for a quartz......Luminox, Reactor, on an on, qu...

Re: No Damon, but still looks good

NO! I absolutely love the Bourne Trilogy. One of my favorites period. Continuing the series, without Matt Damon, who made the franchise popular and was in all 3 movies............fail. If nothing they could have done a movie, called Treadstone or something, to play off the Bourne movie with another ...

I was going to say the same thing. This one is very very busy. I like some of the other bronze models, but not this one.

Re: Armida A2 500m

OK Chef, noted. Problem is I'm in HK and buying on US (or any overseas) forum (as much as I am happy to) is difficult for the seller as they have to post to me in HK, whereas its less of a hassle for dealers - most of whom are set up for international mailing. Well, if your in HK, and end up still ...

Dont want to hijack your thread, or your excitement for your new watch, but for just a tad over $200, you could have had one of these.

I would personally stay away from Debaufre. They have not been around on the forums in about a year, and seem alot of stuff is out of stock, have had issues with not getting movements for the watches, no new product in well over a year, almost 2 years since they came out with a new watch. Heard some...

Yes 8215. Have owned several with no issues at all though This one was bad :( Wow, Brice, I just read your other post. That sucks. Yeah, I have owned many 8215 as well, and while we all know the sweep is not the smoothest, it is not supposed to be erratic like that. Very suprised Chris gave that re...

Re: Whitney Houston dead at 48

What an absolute shame. The last 10 years of her life, overshadowed alot of her former glory as well. Its wierd how some celebs handle stardom, and others crack and go to drugs, think they are invincible, etc, and ruin their life. You know , we all joke alot, but when you think about it, yes they ar...

Thx Chef, for the info, welcome and discount code all of which are very useful and much appreciated. I am not swayed by those (eg, Timezone regulars) who seem to believe that anything other than Rolex, Omega, JLC, IWC and the like are inadequate substitutes. For example; Archimede, Citizen, Tissot,...

Re: Armida A2 500m

Im not sure about the bezel depth markers, but the bezel insert is thick aluminum with applied lume. They are true Miyota and ETA movements. They are assembled in Hong Kong. For the price, Armida is a very good micro brand. Some of these guys here will try to sway you to not buy one, because they ar...

This place is negative just for the sale of being negative. I just don't get where the hate comes from. Two companies are attempting to right a wrong that they were unaware of. They were the ones that brought this to the public's attention. The cases we made of a different material than intended. T...
