Love that JLC, and its slightly bigger brothers.
I walk past the JLC display window almost everyday just to have a look.

Re: 3 days no photobucket :(

Anyone got suggestions for decent image hosting? It seems there are alot of complaints about photobucket, imageshack etc. so I would be really keen to hear from people that are happy with what they use?? I have been using some personal webspace, but I can see this filling up quickly, and I do not wa...

Re: Seiko FFF ( Fifty Four Fathoms )

I really liked the first photos I saw of the un-modded seiko 5, so went looking for the watch and then stumbled on the WUS thread - It was like reading a soap opera script :banghead: ......like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our dials....... :banghead: by the end I wasn't feeling it...

I think if you yelled it at people randomnly in the street, it would have that effect. To translate officially: lekker (comparative more lekker, superlative most lekker) 1.(South African) Tasty, nice. 2.(South African) Good in a generic sense, worthy, functional. cobber (plural cobbers) 1.(Aus...

Stowa website says delivery 'mid November 2011', so not for the impatient I guess.

+1 for Marathon SAR of some description.
It might help you narrow things down if you tell us if you have any size/feature preference??

How about Omega?
Oh-May-Ga
Oh-meeeega (Daniel Craig James Bond style)
Oh-mega
ohm-eger

I usually go for the first one, but hell I was born in South Africa, and raised in Australia, so my english is as bastardised as it comes.

Lekker cobber!

For easy visibility all night long, Tritium>anySuperSpecialLume. Sure you don't get that big charged up lume effect, but we all know that doesn't last. If I ever sell my MSAR, I am sure the tritium tubes will be missed the most. Aside from Ball and Marathon, who else delivers the Trit goodness? (als...

I am also seriously considering a Speedy as my next. Used prices seem a bit steep lately though  . Supply and demand I guess.

Flip it. I have a bad ass Seiko orange monster I might be willing to trade. I will throw in a free bright orange nato to sweeten the deal.
Seriously though, the JLC is very nice. Maybe you could convince your friend to trade his watch for something different? You could pass on my offer to him maybe?

I am feeling the 'less is more' philosophy lately also. Unfortunately the couple of watches that I would like to fit into this ideal cost MOOOAAR money  For me, I just want to get watches that I will never want to sell. When I really scrutinise what I currently have, my PO is really the only ...

I tried it on once. Very nice, but at 47mm it is too large for me. I am sure I will eventually add an Oris to my collection, as they seem to be a solid choice for the money.

Re: Slowly, but surely

I have felt this also with my MSAR. I was wearing my PO XL alot, so when the Marathon arrived it felt weird wearing a watch with such a small busy dial, and comparitively small case. I felt a bit dissapointed, but I have really warmed to it now after a few months. Love the tritium, and I actually li...
