Re: WTH Tactico? SBDX012

All the Seiko watches I have seen have a plastic spacer to keep the movmenent in place within the case like this: http://www.artificehoroworks.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/10-500x334.jpg Looks like the Anko doesn't have that. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160712/ad86e447ae50c3896af629bcb2...

Re: WTH Tactico? SBDX012

According to that explanation, the movement can just shift around every time you unscrew the crown?

Note: not the sticky ball all of you guys are thinking about.
I use one also to remove a caseback but putting a caseback on I wouldn't use one.
You'd probably want to mark where things were before removal and make sure things get lined back up to the same point afterwards.

I absolutely love my TC2 and have worn it as a beater for years. I sold my other Crepas watch because it was too big... this was really surprising though.

First one of these just got unboxed and has some pretty horrible dial misalignment. Too bad, I've had nothing but good experience with Crepes. https://abload.de/img/anko1wbsxt.jpg http://forums.watchuseek.com/f74/tactico-anko-seiko-marinemaster-ref-6159-7001-tribute-2243017-post31250618.html#post312...

Re: Weiss announces In-House mvt

I'm trying to understand why anyone would buy this watch with an unproven and not terribly attractive 6497 clone when the Unitas version is available for half the price  All it takes to be "swiss made" is the QC costs more than the movement. There hasn't been a truly swiss made 6497 is decad...

Response from Squale USA... No warranties are ever transferred (from any brand). There is no way to protect the integrity of the product, except through authorized dealer sales directly to the customer. Once it is sold again the warranty is void. The printed warranty does not indicate this policy. ...

Re: Upcoming DAGAZ Aurora model

From what I remembered, there was a watch that had the same shape and dial design(even with the candy cane design on the dial periphery). It is not the Citation. Found it. The Seiko Sport Rally Diver: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v373/Santeno/Sport%20Divers/IMGP1134.jpg Definitely a mash up of...

Re: Why I'm no longer a vintage watch guy

It's not just the vintage market but the used market in general. It seems I can own a watch for five years and wear it semi-regularly and still get back most of what I paid for it when I sell it and every once in a while sell something for a profit. It's crazy, the only other thing I can do that wit...

There's no reason to create a new thread on watch when one already exists. Also, it makes sense that a Benrus watch would be the inspiration for this when he's done two other Benrus inspired watches.

I was always a fan of the M2 cut, but honestly I could always find made in India khakis at Khol's that were better quality fabric and lasted longer. My work has let us wear jeans for the last 7 years though so it's been a while since I've had to buy khakis.

Re: Weiss announces In-House mvt

My point is that most here are against homages and clones, but there seems to be a double standard if it's one made in the US. Sent from my XT1096 using Tapatalk Cloning a movement that is old as hell and has had it's patents expire is fine, even desirable. I wouldn't want to beta test a movement o...
