Re: New Oris Hölstein Edition 2020

I like it but wonder how the bronze bracelet will work out. Casebacks aren’t bronze to reduce copper leaching out and causing a green arm.

Re: Bling incoming

The matte dial, bezel and rubber strap really make the watch. If they were gloss along with the RG, it wouldn’t be as subtle. Congrats again - totally jealous.

Re: Calling all MTB experts

Congrats on the new bike! Always a fun day. You don’t call it a byke in the UK? Like tyre? "Pushie" in Australia, short for push bike. Pushing your bike? Dang I knew you guys did things differently down under but maybe you should watch some YouTube videos to see how they are mean to be used. :monkey...

Nice! I’m a fan of the ceramic + rose combo.
+1. The wife and I tried them on in Vegas about 3 years ago (she tried on the 37mm) and we loved them. If I can swing it, it's what I would like to buy us both in the next couple of years.

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

Shameless self-promotion, but I wrote a story about my time in lockdown and how I only wore one watch the whole time. Shame it wasn't a diver... Maybe for the next quarantine? ;) https://www.ablogtowatch.com/one-watch-quarantine-pandemic-jaeger-lecoultre-geophysic/ https://www.ablogtowatch.com/wp-c...

Nice - I always liked the uniqueness of that one with the oversized crown and cool bezel.

Re: Bike TLC

Wife and I hadn’t used our bikes in years. Old knee and back injuries for me and the car accident in ‘05 for her. We took the plunge on two class one E bikes last week and are having a blast. We live at the base of a steep hill/dune, and taking that to downtown was tough. These are great for giving...

Re: iPhone to Android?

Late to this thread but my two cents... I love Android but think that Google's hardware is inferior to Apple's. I'd go so far as to call it crap, IME. I've had more trouble with my Pixel than I've ever had with previous iPhones. The screen is delicate, the camera went belly up and the charger cable...

For me, it’s always been tritium lume for vintage, but as time passes another 10 years or so, that may change to aluminum bezels.

I've been using the time to totally give up on my appearances and focus on growing homeless dude hair and a beard. Oh and been playing my drums.... A lot. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200525/648ff644925c433f2eed2b15875436d5.jpg Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk Kind of a vintage Steve Mc...

Anyone still use a desktop PC?

We have a Lenovo all-in-one desktop PC as our home computer. We like that it takes up less space and has less cables than a traditional PC/monitor system.

That said, I use my 11” iPad Pro with the new magic keyboard more than the PC, but when I want to see something on a larger screen I use the PC
