Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

7 1/2 miles at 9,900 to 10,900 ft amsl today for some fishing and hiking. Fish weren’t biting but it was fun anyway. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200704/9f794c205d161eec5bca2501dcef4761.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200704/e7f6cebcf6ba532d11d8d1a628436aad.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-...

Long day hiking and fishing and just finishing up a top shelf margarita (Don Julio 1942, St Germain, lime juice, and agave nectar) and starting on dinner. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200704/c23de86752b266a811e61d8a4aad3658.plist https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200704/8e9b02a9917ce5df28a24c...

Working outside today. Spent 3 hours (6 am to 9 am) troubleshooting internet connectivity with the cable company, cable modem manufacturer and WiFi router manufacturer. I needed a calming space after that start to the day. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200702/1d14a49c139775dd843ef5e336747fd9.p...

Time to start a four-day weekend. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200702/bbcd3df6deeb9d527e21312eaf799796.plist A couple of cool things about this Nomos is that when you unscrew the crown there’s a red indicator to remind you it’s unscrewed. Also when you pull it out to the date position you can...

01-July-WRUW

These Nomos Club Sports just arrived. Our 15th anniversary is this Friday and since the modern present is watches, I talked the wife into his/hers Nomos’ last year when I saw that was the theme. Mine was a surprise since I gave her 3 to choose from. I let her pick her’s out last year and I was able...

Re: Problems opening a vintage Rado Captain Cook

Jack got back to me and suggested heating the watch up, so that a melted, stuck gasket becomes a little loose and then maybe it will open. Anyone tried this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I personally haven’t but use a hair dryer on high, or if you go to an actual heat gun, start with the low ...

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

Re: Sinn U50 photos

I don’t like them at all, but I think it looks particularly bad here because the watch is too small for you. I appreciate the honest opinion. I’m still undecided on size, but unless there is a titanium U1 coming, those are just too heavy for my comfort. What is your wrist size? I love the thin prof...

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

Hiked about 5 miles today (out and back) from Echo Lake to Idaho Springs reservoir all between about 10,300 and 10,800 feet above sea level. Only got for to fish for about 30 minutes before the weather turned but caught two small rainbow trout. I’m beat. Time for some Advil, alcohol and steak. https...

Sweet! I’ve always wanted a U1 in my collection, but now I think it’s a U50 - same cool styling in a more manageable size package.

I liked it initially, but the more I look at it, the more I feel there is a little too much red. Maybe it’d be better without the red at the back of the hands near the stem?
