Re: The Sinn is IN!

Congrats Matt Is it the same case size as the original ? I remember the first time I saw a issued Heuer bund for sale in person at a NAWCC Pasadena regional and wanted one since seeing it. Re: Tudor Military Subs - Sounds like lots of fakes out there

All the military watches I ever bought were made only for the military and not sold to the public until sold as surplus. So less mine fields. The problem with these Tudor were they were bought off the shelf so a civilian one can be faked real easy just a good engraving on the case back. And Rolex an...

Re: Tudor Military Subs - Sounds like lots of fakes out there

Paul The most I ever paid was 2700 for the Eterna kontiki super IDF that has doubled that or more since I bought it. And I did my homework on it had another collector who owned a few of them give me the go ahead on it that it was legit. Most I ever paid. That civilian Tudor snowflake I have paid 200...

Re: Tudor Military Subs - Sounds like lots of fakes out there

Some of you wonder why us military collectors collect this stuff. My dad was in ww2 so since I was all ready collecting vintage watches I was in a vintage watch shop and saw a ww2 issued Elgin A-11 and bought it I knew a lot of ww2 vets. So easy to get into military watches. Then navigation watches ...

Re: Hamilton Pilot Mechanical?

You can get the original cheaper same case size. But the vintage one will hold it's value and go up in price compared to the remake that if you resale you lost a 100 bucks. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SERVICED-Hamilton-W10-British-Army-issue-watch-1973-hacking-seconds-superb/143364627958?hash=item21613...

Re: Revolution Bundeswehr

Some jack ass has one for sale on flebay for 3,749.00 for a 1249 profit. Knew some jack ass would do this hope the jack ass reads this. Remakes are like a new cars once you take it off the lot you loose your ass if you resale it hope he looses his ass. Don’t they sale for 2500 ?

Re: Revolution Bundeswehr

I don't need a copy here is my original issued bund think I paid 1800.00 for it cheaper than the remake before the BIG price hike in issued watches and my older Sinn from the 1990's with the cool sweep hand plus hand-wind 7760 movement I got in a watch trade some years ago. To bad they did not use a...

He has one hell of a vintage collection love that Universal Tri-compax chronograph. I only have one vintage watch he has my Heuer issued bund. Looks like we have the same taste in watches. Use to listen to them way back before most of you were born.

Re: Hi Everyone! New to DWC but not watches

Welcome to the forum. I like the older 1911's with history plus it what I was issued in the early 1980's in the Navy then later years they went to the 9mm from the Sig to the Berretta like the Sig better than the Berretta. Here is my vintage 1911 Remington issued in 1944. https://i.imgur.com/dw0gIjP...

Re: Tropic Straps

Uncle Seiko has a tropic style strap just as good for 39 bucks 79 seems high for what you get. I have the 19mm uncle seiko tropic on my Seiko 6105 and comfortable you can get 2 for the price of one. Not much of a discount only a few bucks wtf. I bet some one bought the name tropic or reregistered th...

Was a cool one. Wish they would do a talking watches with a none famous watch collector that knows there stuff about the watches they collect once in a while. A ordinary middle class watch collector interview would be different.

Re: Long time lurker

On the Omega it mite be a simple fix like flipping the dial around the dial feet just mite fit. The date wheel goes around on the movement and would be in the right position I think. Have a watch maker take a look at it. Maybe a righty did not like the lefty and just flipped the dial around.
