I like the baked beans! Hopefully you don't drink the Tesco brand Scotch though... :naughty:
I'm not a big whiskey drinker at all.
If I were, I certainly wouldn't drink that stuff.

Re: Gifts for Daughters

I'd give them a damn good lecture on not dating a 'watch guy', coz the weirdo bastard will spend the mortgage money on a new Tudor and a bunch of NATOs. Seriously though, fuck heirlooms.. take them away somewhere on vacation and have fun - they'll cherish that more than any piece of metal or preciou...

Gunpowder (with Kit Harington)

I've just noticed that this is coming to the US in December on HBO. It has already aired in the UK, and I thoroughly recommend it.
There are some torture scenes in it that will make you wince!

Interestingly, Kit Haringtons actual ancestors were part of the Gunpowder plot!

Re: Unboxing.

It's certainly cheaper in the US.. here in the UK for an xc90..

$10420 down, and $658 p/month (Volvo finance deal), might be cheaper from an independent place.

Re: anybody still got one of these? (GO Seventies Pano)

I like it.. I guess it's one of those left-field watches that never make the lime light.
If you like it, go for it - it's different and interesting. Too many watch people worry about what others think.. you should go with what you like, that's all that matters.

I never got the 'Shinola' naming.. if you didn't know, it sounds almost Japanese... the new Nissan Shinola 4x4.. Mitsubishi Shinola GTX etc. Why not "Detroit Watch Co." Nice one Greg.. it's good to stay one watch for a while, and then splash out on what you fancy every now and then! I've kinda done a similar thing.. (although, I'm not as committed ! Instead of selling up, I've kept my watches shut away in the box) and pretty much just worn one watch for about 3 mon...

Re: Paul Newman Live Stream 14 mill plus already!

I've always said.. when someones wealth is stated at a certain figure.. say, like 100M; and the question is.. "Is that $ or £", then it doesn't matter, it's just a shit load. It's like asking how much salt is on the 25oz T-bone special.

Who knows! I know that I, and most of you see shit like this, and are guilty as seeing it as utter frivolous dick swinging and a waste of $, but to be honest.. If I was a (1bn) billionaire, and my wealth was going up my 5% per annum for doing fuck all (that's approx 1 million a week), then I'd proba...

Billionaires swinging their dicks..

For those that didn't watch it.. bidding started at a big bold $1 Mil.. room went silent.

Another bidder said '$10 Mil' straight away.  The auctioneer was like   .
The rest is history.
