Andy... that's an amazing ride. About 5 years ago I had the pleasure of being a passenger in a supercharged Exige - and it was exhilarating - so raw!! Enjoy your beast ::0

Rebuilding American Muscle

If you have a spare 1/2 hour+, check out this You Tube channel.. couple of young guys buy wrecked muscle cars and rebuild them.
Great to see such a great work ethic..

Re: Crystal Times?

I had a crystal from them.. my watchmaker had to lightly sand it to fit.
I guess it is down to very tight tolerances, and cooling/heating may help fitment - and the tighter the better I presume

Re: Vintage Quartz Divers

Superb thread.. about time the quartz watch was celebrated!! I love them.. I cut my teeth on them.. and I'm proud to not be a quartz snob. Not sure of the science, but it's said that quartz is more stable at very cold conditions, so more suited to deep dives. Some of my past beauties.. https://i0.wp...

My wife said she was going to leave me because of my obsession with The Monkees.

I said that's ridiculous, and just laughed.

Then I saw her face.

Re: New Longines Skin Diver 42 300 Meters

There's something about this that I quite like, but there's something about it that isn't right. Maybe it's the faux lume effect on the bezel - that seems wrong to me. The faux vintage lume on the dial I could live with. Dunno - it just looks a bit 'off'.

Re: Vintage Heuer prices have gone crazy

I was chatting to a fellow Heuer guy the other day... Seems there is a 'split' in Heuer values. Only the very best examples can command huge values, whereas examples that aren't perfect struggle to attract any interest. As an example.. I've had little response in a 1968 Autavia 3646 'Andretti' I'm s...

Re: Going Dark...

In the UK, I *think* you can tint the front windows, but it has to be below a certain level, resulting is a very light tint. Jeremy - looks great, and defo get those badges off. If they don't puncture the bodywork, get some boiling water on them to weaken the glue (or a hair dryer), and clean the gl...
