War on Drugs is great. I would also add Weyes Blood-Titanic Rising. Instant classic IMO.

I've been meaning to check that out. Is the version on Spotify good?

Re: What albums do you listen to front to back? (No skips)

Man I feel young over here. Off the top of my head... Weezers: blue album. Killswitch engage: Alive or just breathing. Hatebreed: satisfaction is the death of desire. Metallica: lightning, puppets, and justice. And Justice is such a sneaky album. It's not a go to album but when it's on, man, the so...

Re: What albums do you listen to front to back? (No skips)

There are a bunch. Off the top of my head: Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper's, Wish You Were Here, DSOTM, Animals, Siamese Dream, What's Going On, Pet Sounds, The Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby, Nevermind, Metallica, Master of Puppets, Superunknown, Automatic for the People, Murmur, Reckoning, Morning Glory, 1984...

That's a cool watch. There was a nice Worn and Wound podcast discussing the creation of these with Rob a few weeks back.

One other thing, which may or may not matter to you: a tegimented U1 will look newer much longer than a Pelagos.

Yeah of course not. I mean tritium hands and plots and not capsules. But this is why all of this is dumb. There is no set of objective criteria here.

Re: when does something become vintage?

There obviously can't be a strict definition with anything, including watches. But for me, a watch is vintage if it has tritium or radium on the dial. That simple.

Re: Pelagos vs U1

I have had both, and love both. For a daily wearer, the Pelagos is better. But while everyone talks about how austere/stark/teutonic the U1 is, I found the Pelagos fit that better. The U1 just has that little bit of extra pop (the red accents mainly) that make it a little more playful. If it's a re...

The newest NAFT is by far the least interesting thing in this photo: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200206/d43b225eff8b04e64589dcbb779e9561.jpg Yes, this could be the dream sub-$1K Seiko diver. Of course, Seiko will probably screw it up somehow. Edit: talking about the one in the lower left of ...

Re: How much value is lost missing OEM box with Sinn?

First off, that’s a special piece with great provenance. Second, it needs to stay at DWC. Third, B&P isn’t something I expect to have with watches that are two decades old. I would buy it if I could.

Re: 2021 - DEFENDER or BRONCO

If you're considering a 4 Runner, how about a Lexus GX460? Basically a tarted-up lux 4 Runner, and used ones can be had fairly cheap. They are comfy, and boring, and the steering is so vague it's like driving a waterbed. That said, I think they would make a great platform for a few basic mods, inclu...

Re: New “Ed White” Speedmaster

Regarding the 321, it's the romanticism of the movement that gets the Speedy nerds. It's the original, the one that powered the Speedmasters that did all that cool stuff back in the '60s (the moon landing, Ed White's space walk, Schirra's Sigma 7 trip, and so on). Plus a column wheel is so much cool...

Re: New “Ed White” Speedmaster

Very cool. I would've preferred a metal bezel and hesalite crystal, but lots of goodness in this one. Of course, I bet it's way too expensive (I'm guessing $12K) and if limited it will be extremely hard to get.
