Re: White Speedmaster

This is magnificent. I never understood why people go crazy with Daytonas when there was a (IMO) vastly superior option at a much lower price. Now that it comes in white, I will understand it even less About the only things the Daytona offers (besides the absurd wait list at Rolex ADs) is a smaller...

Re: Pepsi Rumors

I'm so sick of this shit. Elon Musk can send rockets into space but Rolex can't produce a fucking bezel? The ceramic bezels suck regardless of color. If I were running Rolex I’d have made an aluminum bezel version of the Submariner, with lug holes & matte dial. Call it Submariner “Heritage” and sel...

According to the card, it’s a Y serial. That’s no bueno for that reference. I’d suggest the guy have it checked out before selling.
Is it a "Y serial" or a random with a Y as the first digit? If the latter it's fine. The former is not.

Re: 1961 Seamaster and 1982 Tudor Submariner

That’s a Speedmaster actually. Overpriced but looks tasty. $10K for that Tudor is a joke. Yes. From my limited browsing, the market is getting softer and seems to be headed further in that direction. I'm starting to see vintage Subs in that $10k-$12k range, and that hasn't been the case for a while.

Re: GMT-Master II Batman or Pepsi Question

The newer 126710 lugs (still 20mm) are a bit slimmer and taper more than the 116710 (noticeably to me), so does not looks as "super" - which to me is a good thing as it feels much better proportioned. This is correct. The lugs are different, and better, but it’s not crazy noticeable and you wouldn’...

Re: First Sub for me…

I’ll say it again—16600 is my favorite watch of all time. I love 14060s, but as Jacob said they feel pretty light and a little unsubstantial on the wrist (I won’t say cheap feeling, but some might). Some may prefer that, but for me the 16600 offers a more appealing feel especially with the SELs. An...

Ok folks, you gave me great advice while ago on what SMP to buy, now I’m hoping you’ll share advice on my first Rolex Sub. As you may know, I’m in process of a substantial sell off to find my sub and all in I should be raising about $8.5k. I can stretch a little higher if need be. I’m thinking of a...

The radial brushing on the case juxtaposed to the vertical brushing on the bracelet. The soft edges of the bracelet juxtaposed to the all sharp all over case. I really don't like it. Regarding radial case brushing, your Rolex 5 digits are the same way. End links look better in person and bracelet i...

Re: Bracelet News: EZ-link now available

I just got two links today for my 14060M Sub and 114270 Explorer. Great fit and quality for both. Took the divers ext. of my Sub, but you have to use the new clasp springbar, cause the orginal is too thick to fit. For Explorer I used the orginal ones. Works really great, happy with these [emoji482]...

A little more money can get you a reverso
I was going to say "nice budget Reverso", but assuming the euro price converts to the USD price, that's a $5500 dollar watch plus tax. I'd buy a minut used Reverso for less.
