Re: New Tudor Sub?

The classic case/bezel just kills any version of the BB. That era of Sub is just perfect for me (gloss/matte/whatever dial).

So would I. I’d buy it at dickhead reseller prices.

Is Montblanc a richemont brand? Because these look like designs that JLC passed on.

The shadows make it appear that way.

Re: New IWC Spitfire Collection

IWC just couldn’t help ripping off the red sub text. They’re dick riders to the extreme.

I like the idea of a mark whatever with an in-house movement, though I’m not sure I’d like to deal with richemont long term.

Re: New AP 15500

This new one is going to wear big. It looks chunky and bold. I suspect that was the goal - to add a bit of sportiness to a watch that has morphed into more of a dress watch. To my mind the 15400 is much closer to the Jumbo in terms of aesthetics, but is sized for those who want something a bit larg...

+1 I think it's a big step backwards from the 15400.
I’m sure people will buy it, but it looks like a cartoon knockoff of the 15400 (which I didn’t like as much as it’s predecessor).

The watch industry needs a greater diversity of movements. I don’t care about the 321, but I’m sure a bunch of other people do.

Kick boxers generally suck. There’s very little money in it. Multiple MMA guys have beaten elite kick boxers in kick boxing matches. Floyd is world class. The best kick boxer on Earth isn’t in his league. I’d they were, they’d be making millions in boxing, not a tenth (at best) of that kick boxing.

Re: 1680 Red Sub

Rolex can work on anything via special channels. It’s the “vintage division” or something like that. Bills around $10,000 are common. The work isn’t always great.

The more troubling thing is that the big vintage specialists have even worse than usual access to parts.

Re: IWC + The Rake LE mark XI tribute -36mm Bronze

It’s a better size for Vietnam when you have to hide it from the Vietcong. Easier on the butthole? This watch is typical IWC. It looks pretty nice, but it’s 36mm so it turns off everyone who’s not a purist. Unfortunately, it’s bronze and has a green dial so the purists are going to hate it too. Als...

This is on my list, along with The Bodyguard. The Bodygaurd was good. I need to watch it. Only like six episodes, right? Yes, but IIRC they’re somewhat long - like a little movie each. The whole time I was watching it, I was thinking how hot of a 60 year old the Minister of State (or whatever) actr...
