Re: AP as Used Resellers

$3000 to fix a fucked with $15000 watch doesn't seem unreasonable.

Re: AP as Used Resellers

AP is pretty reasonable for service cost. All their prices are posted. Really? I thought I heard stories from people here that they were very expensive. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk I've never heard a bad word about AP service. They're some of the best in the world. You might be thinking of...

Re: Seaforth preorders tomorrow 1/18

It was down for me. You were actually going to order one? Yes, and then immediately sell it on IG! If my order actually goes through, I figure this is as close to a guarantee to not lose money on the flip as you'll ever see and I wouldn't mind checking one out. I did get an email confirmation from ...

Re: Incoming & Review....Vertex M100

Everyone loves big watches these days - time for brands to pony up for some decently sized movements. IWC is one of the least bad in this respect. Most of their in-house movements are an appropriate size (and hence aren't usable in normally sized watches). Stupidly, Patek is one of the worst. IWC br...

Re: Incoming & Review....Vertex M100

A Mark XVIII (the names are getting a little excessive at this point) with an entry-level Richemont movement would be a very different value proposition than one with an undersized ETA movement and too small date wheel. Richemont seems more than happy to cut corners and it's pretty crappy at their p...

Blasted finishes are the LEAST wear resistant. I hated that about my OG EZM1. Even so, I'd expect better.

I heard that they're releasing the Port chrono using their in-house movement at the same price as the VJ7750 version. Clearly the margin on those VJ watches is astronomical.

Re: Incoming & Review....Vertex M100

Love the numerals/lume. Something IWC should learn, there's no excuse for having crappy lume when a 400-dollar Steinhart pilot glows like a torch and every hash mark is lumed. They won't until people start being highly critical and stop buying. Modern IWC is terrible. They offer almost the exact sa...

Definitely try on. I'm a 38 in slim suits and a small gives a proper relaxed fit. I could go XS jackets, but not mid layers.

This has been an interesting thread. I need to replace my Patagonia nano puff mid layer. I've loved that thing - easily my best ever clothes purchase.
