Re: blue bezel Ed White on eprey

Love it. I could go for a modern watch inspired by this one using the FOIS case and a standard hand set.

Welcome. Beware the double posts. It takes a while after hitting submit for things to post. Probably due to some crapatalk plugin.

Watch supposedly has the dimensions of the Paradive (a 300M watch), but is rated to 200M. Either its thinner, cheezier made, or the specs are wrong.
Do these watches actually get pressure tested? I think it's all just a guess.

Re: NYT article on Nomos: We make watches for people who can read and write

Interesting read. I want to get Nomos, but it hasn’t called to me yet. Maybe in time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Me, too. They just don’t make “my” Nomos yet. I’m not sure they ever will. Agreed. I wish they offered this watch: http://www.fototime.com/%7BA4513227-A9CE-4CEA-8A0E-D98523991FB2...

Thanks for typing that out Matt. Add in his disdain for "fly over country" to his willingness to monetize a watch g2g to those same people, and you get this response.

A watch is the obvious choice, and what I'll get my daughter (probably not at 16). A diamond tennis bracelet would also be a good one.

Re: Red Bar event Friday

I don't know anything about how these new Red Bar chapters work, all I know about is the original NYC Red Bar. It's not "exclusive" and it doesn't matter how expensive your collection is. I'd just assume that what some people are perceiving as exclusivity is just these chapters taking some security...

What longwinded bullshit. You sell watches now. Great. Your editorial content won't be impacted. Yeah right.

Re: Sub-C or SD4K

The SD-C is currently extremely expensive. Unless you're getting a crazy good deal I would absolutely never sell a watch with sentimental value so that I could overpay for something that I may or may not like more. +1 And it does wear small and tall, which depending on your wrist could be a good or...

Not to mention the name is gay.
I can't wrap my head around the concept. What's the point of an official "Red Bar" meet-up? Why pay a fee just so you can call your meet-up "Red Bar"?
Because...

Re: Red Bar event Friday

Kudos to Adam for turning a watch G2G into the modern equivalent of a Tupperware party for shitty watch brands. The guy knows how to monetize. I just find it the height of irony that a guy who publicly expressed extremely liberal viewpoints is the founder of what sounds like a very exclusionary clu...

Re: Anyone want my Black Bay now?

Crown spacer does hold me back a little It might be a nonissue on the wrist after getting used to it. Only ownership would make that clear for me. They're getting to be cheap, especially on a strap (for me), maybe it's time The new bracelet is so GD ugly I'd only buy the in house version on a strap.

I believe it. It's the least goofy version. If they got rid of the crown spacer, I'd probably take a gamble on fit and pick one up. Even with the spacer, they're so cheap I'm still tempted.
