Re: My A.D. was dumped by Rolex!

I'm guessing Rolex just does not care having fewer stores and fewer watches for the fewer stores. Yes, but it seems strange to demand the dealers expand to install in-store mini boutique type areas, then not provide any inventory. I’m thinking it might be better for an AD to dump Rolex and go Omega...

Re: visiting Rolex dealer in Beverly Hills....

I'm absolutely positive that a Rolex AD in Beverly Hills will have nothing but TT DJs and ladies' watches in stock. :) The real question is if they will be rude or not. BH is probably one of the worst places in the world to just pop in and browse scarce luxury items. Nobody was rude to me when I di...

Re: Tudor Releases New Watches April 7th

I realize this isn’t on topic, but does anyone know the general availability of the blue and black BB58s? Is this something that I could typically call around and find locally or is it the same basic deal as Rolex now?

Re: Supposed new Rolex line up...

For me, if you’ve wanted a 36mm explorer-style watch without the old stamped bracelet, you’ve always had the option of the 116000, which has been underpriced forever. My wife has had this one for 7+ years, and it’s still within the same realm in terms of pricing. (Pictures with the 39mm Explorer) h...

Looking at both pics, the 114270 does look nicer to me.

What do you think is the best source to avoid getting scammed? hqmilton?
I’d go NOS out of the EU if I were you, and then just send it to Rolex for a service.

Re: Supposed new Rolex line up...

^^^ the bezel and case seem a lot more substantial on the new 36mm.

Look at the distance from the edge of the dial to where the crown starts.

That’s a lot of space.

I don’t think I like this watch.

Nice pick up, Todd! I'm so out of it. I've never heard of this watch. It looks great. What's the reference number and/or name? 310.32.42.50.02.001. It was a 2020 release https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-speedmaster-anniversary-series-co-axial-master-chronometer-chronograph-42...

Congrats. It's way too big and chunky for me, but that's in line with the old big block models. I'm surprised how quickly these got delivered.

:rimshot: :raised: I was once accused of being rude at TRF. They’re all dorks and pussies over there. You should have just offered to blow DavidSW in exchange for the opportunity to buy a Rolex from him at 2X MSRP. You would have fit right in over there. So bizarre, but that's really how it is. RAF > B-Uhr

Imagine talking watches with someone and being plainly clear about what's going on: "yeah I love this watch, it's so historically correct to the watches that Nazis wore while bombing civilians!"

Re: IWC Big Pilot 43mm

But it’s just too expensive for what is a larger MKXVIII, no?? I don't think so. For one thing, the Mk. XVIII uses a base Sellita movement, the BP uses an in-house movement with Pellaton winding. The BP is also closer to the original B-Uhr design with a no-date dial and the original oversized crown...
