Re: Seiko 2019 Catalog

Spring drive I absolutely hate that PR on there. Way to ruin another wise great looker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It doesn't ruin it for me but I agree. Why not just do as exhibition case backs with the PR on the back like with the manual SDs? Seiko has a clear affinity for sticking a bunc...

I think that's a lot better than the GMT. Their plain bezel watches don't do it for me.

There is a white dial Superocean too. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190322/ed8e0fa5f8b111fc49c7ddafdc8f3d5d.jpg I think this blue stick-dial version could be interesting. Looks like titanium. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190322/f46218b6a167bd505c95dc65dde80ef2.jpg I like all those. I wou...

Re: New Member introduction

How was Out For Blood? I have been waiting for it for a while and will watch it when I’m back home in a week or so I liked it a lot. When Holmes and Theranos were getting mentioned as the next big thing all over the place, I wasn't really paying attention to what they were doing other than some sor...

Re: New Member introduction

This is going so well. Seriously though as Matt and Zack have already asked, there are more micros than rats at a city dump. Everyone thinks they can order a 100 watches from China, call it something like Spine Cracker Deep Cavity and call themselves a watch company. Ironically, Spine Cracker Deep ...

yeah a botched up grand entrance that don't go down well, apologies, but would like to start afresh. And he should be able to. Who else is going to introduce you product for free. I can’t find the exact movement that you use in the watch though. If you could elaborate this would be very helpful. Se...

Wow. I couldn’t disagree more with everyone here. I think these stole Basel. I’d get at least a couple of them. I guess my tastes really run 180 degrees from most folks around here. That's not a bad thing. Lots of great deals for people who know what they like and are lucky not to like what everyon...

Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

The folks who really made money on "vintage" Rolexes, etc. were the folks who bought them brand new in the 1960s and 1970s (and maybe 1980s) and never had them serviced , so they kept the original dials and hands intact basically out of sheer laziness or because they just didn't care. I use to call...

Re: TAG Heuer Autavia Isograph

It looks like a typically stupid modern Breitling. I couldn't place it, but yes, that's what the style of those arabic numerals remind me of. Something about the Tag logo seems a bit off. That era of Breitling had really nice dials. The dial on this is the best part. It doesn't work on a TAG though.

Re: Seiko Basel 2019

The green Sumo looks like it’s trying to hard to be a Rolex. I like the SD 300 Diver, but that crown is too large. Rolex owns the rights to the color green? Of course not, but the green sunburst dial and the shade they used here looks an awful lot like the green Sub. Just like the half blue half bl...

Re: Nomos - Baselworld 2019

I sort of like that one on the left. The super long lugs are getting dumber and dumber though. It made sense on a 35mm watch. Less so in a full sized one. Exactly. The dial itself is great. I'd be interested in seeing that watch in person. A 42mm Nomos would be enormous. Gotta be 52-53 So still com...

Fuck that's ugly. They should have stopped at 71.

Well, at least Breitling was detail oriented enough to match the date wheel color to the dial....

...oops - guess not.
It’s hard to match 89 colors.
