Re: Black Bay GMT, 58, S&G & Tudor 1926 First Impressions

That vintage Rolex looks much better. Primarily due to the lack of gold on the insert.

I still really like the 58. It makes the ceramic sub look bloated in comparison.

Re: Watch engraving

I love all these, except what Graham posted.

I’d never buy one of these but they’re totally awesome. The too fat SUBC case gives a lot of space for designs.

Re: The Timeless Luxury Watches Guide to all of A. Lange & Söhne

GO is across the board too large for me, which is a shame. A Pano under 37x10 would be hard to resist, doubly so on a bracelet. Have you ever seen one of the ALS loaner watches in SS? They used to send them out to people, but had to stop when everyone was keeping them. One of my buddies had one and ...

^^^ Those are all good ones. Sometimes I think about moving my PO 2500d for a 2254.

I think I'd have a hard time choosing that over Eric's GO. Bought used, it's probably 70% of the watch at 15% of the cost.

Re: Omega goes full Kanye

I don’t have many watches anymore, but besides my 2254 the only omega I want is a speedy and a 2500 PO I have a Speedy Pro and a 2500 PO and the only Omega I want is a 2254 :) That's the perfect trio of Omegas IMO. The 36mm (or slightly less cool 39mm) rail master is worth owning as well. Omega sto...

There’s a lot not to like on this one. It looks like a 10 year old designed it on a first generation iPad.

Re: The Timeless Luxury Watches Guide to all of A. Lange & Söhne

This is a good review. ALS is the only richemont brand I would consider buying a modern watch from. Most are too large for me though. You should really list thickness for all the watches and take a side view profile picture of each. That’s where ALS tends not to work for me. What's your ideal thick...

Re: Poseidon

In the pre-release photos I thought the lume was white, but it appears yellow here. I think the bright white looked great. Is this a photo/exposure issue or is it really yellow? The hands look pretty white, but the dial looks yellow. I suspect it's due to the picture. Otherwise, the lume doesn't ma...

Re: Rolex AD event - 2018 Basel content

I might be getting cheap and curmudgeonly as I get older but I'd take the new Hamilton Khaki Field No Date over any of the watches in this thread   :smack: Most of the watches are absolutely horrible with respect to their asking price, but I don't think a ton of them are objectively b...

Re: Rolex AD event - 2018 Basel content

Of all the pictures posted, I really think the Rolex OP and JLC 40mm are best. Sometimes simple and classic is good. That said, since neither have a date, they'd be a no go for me (I swear if I ever buy another watch without a date function, I'm kicking my own ass). The bezel on the Breitling just ...

58 on bracelet for me, absolutely love it. I would change the crown (as mentioned) to just screw all the way, but its not an issue for me. That size, from brand with a lot of history and with an inhouse movement with a great power reserve... it's a steal. I bet they do a blue dial in the next year ...
