Re: Day and date change in mechanical watches. What is acceptable?

No expert here, but it does seem to depend on the movement. Seiko day-date like the 7S26 seem to take a couple hours from start to finish. My experience with 7750 based movements seems to show they take about an hour for the full day date change over, starting around 2330.

Jeez, you guys are so cynical. Maybe the seller is just a decent guy who still has some faith in basic human goodness.

And maybe purple monkeys will fly out of my ass whistling Dixie.

Not one of a kind. Per Govberg, it’s one of 10. Knowing there’s 10 of these does not make me feel better. Looks like something from Thinkgeek.

Re: Hodinkee's "One-watch" article

Is it just me or when you think about the "one watch" question the thought of "yeah but G-shocks don't count" or "I can also pair it with an SKX" comes to your mind? #itsadisease This one for me. Visually interesting, WR enough for anything I'll ever do, useful complications (I can time the rice an...

Re: Tudor Black Bay GMT Review

A couple of the pics make the bluelook pretty dark. I know it’s just the pics, but it gives a bit of a feel for how a black bezel version would look. I think I can chance waiting for that.

I do like the size. But....I guess with Seiko, I’m so used to seeing an arrowhead hour hand, the minute hand kinda throws me.

Re: Responsibility

100 % owned by whoever did the disassembly. You used the words “had it disassembled”, suggesting a third party did it, not the owner. The hands that did the deed own the responsibility, as well as whoever authorized it. It’s strictly between them.
