Re: Best place to buy new Seiko SKX009?

I’ve always had good luck with Islandwatch/Long Island Watches. Fast shipping and decent pricing.

Re: No love for the SMPc?

Resurrecting this thread to add my .02: I've been given one to test drive for a few weeks, and I'm really impressed. I was always skeptical of the aesthetics, for the same reasons others have mentioned, namely the handset. But the inky black dial is cool and IMO the 41mm size is ideal. I'm warming u...

Re: Help me pare down my collection

You guys are awesome, thanks for the feedback. Not really any surprises here, I kinda knew the AT and SMP chrono were gonna get hit hard. I imagine I could "survive" with this 4-watch lineup: SD4K ExpII GO 60s Speedy :bananastoner: If I needed to get it down to 3, I'd have a hard time deciding betw...

Guys, at the risk of sounding like an ignoramous I have to ask: where are you getting these? I've spoken to a pair of AD's here Stateside and they tell me they won't have them until October or November? Would love to try one sooner.

Re: New Speedmaster

I'd hit it.

It's NOT a substitute for the Pro, so IMO is aimed at those guys who collect Omega specifically. And yeah, the price NIB is nuts. But it's a nice watch for sure... captures some of the essence of the racing dial pieces w/o being over the top with the colors.

Re: Sinn BLU1 LE

Maybe we should self fund a Sinn LE with a dick and balls hour/minute hand. I'm fairly confident they'd do it. We just need 50 participants. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk I'm in, U2 Plain Bezel without GMT hand and a 24 hour ring, let's do it, I'm serious, we can make it midnight blue dial so ...

Look up the phrase "punches above its weight" in the slang dictionary and you'll find a pic of this watch.

Amazing story, for sure. He seems like a bit of a goof, but I'd like to see Fieri do TW as well. I've seen him wearing Tunas, Doxa, PAM's, Breitling etc.

Agree on all counts. Stacey and some of the others are good, but Ariel..? Total sh*t show. I attribute the site's success to Stacey, mostly.

Fly into SF and stay for 1-2 overnights. See The Embarcadero and Golden Gate Park, maybe rent a bike and do the thing where you ride across GG Bridge and catch the ferry back to the city proper. Eat amazing food and if you like beer, go to Mikkeller in the Tenderloin. Drive south ( as previously sug...

Re: What makes the new Pelagos Left hand a $4500 watch?

Yeah. I'd never given mine a try on anything but the bracelet. As cool as the bracelet is, from an engineering and applications point of view, it just does nothing to help the watch. I really shoulda tried it on a strap of some kind.
