Re: New Junghans 1972 Automatic FIS Edition
Why do whatch brands feel compelled to find the most niche or obscure sport to support and then make an even more niche watch? I think the case shape and dual crown looks great, dial is ok but size and color combo killing it. Oh, I have never been anywhere near a ski jump Sent from my SM-G770F usin...

Re: Hodinkee buys Crown & Caliber
Crown & Caliber is located here in Atlanta (Sandy Springs). I've been meaning to get down there for some time, but haven't made it yet. I asked them if I could stop to do my trade on the drive from Hartsfield. This was a couple years ago, but they pretty much said no, and that they didn’t have a re...

Re: Question - '82 Rolex 16800 Sub for DSSD?
When you let vintage subs go in the past, why did you regret it? Did you miss wearing them, or purely regret it based on the rising value? Well, I did miss wearing them, but I'd be lying if rising values didn't play into it. I sold an all original 1956 Sub 6536/1 with original bracelet for about $3...

Question - '82 Rolex 16800 Sub for DSSD?
Okay, theoretical question. Maybe a dumb one. I have a nice matte dial 16800 Sub that rarely, if ever, gets worn. I don't have the original bracelet, but it is now on a true one piece Bond NATO. So, I've been considering maybe trying to trade it for a DSSD, which I know I'd wear often. Right now it'...

Dr. Peter Millar - Contact?
Anyone happen to have any contact information for Dr. Millar, author of the two Doxa history books and others. I spoke with him here via PM last summer, but not sure he's still checking in. Thanks.
Found him.
Found him.

Re: What do you drive???
Bought this 2001 F150 in 2007. Drove it for work all over North Georgia for years. Never let me down. Sold it last year with nearly 400K on the odometer. One of he best vehicles I've ever owned. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/800x600q90/r/924/0ngM1i.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/800x600...

Anyone else watching this? Dark humor, and not always politically correct. Great show.

Re: Tropic question
Sorry, a little late to the conversation. Genuine Tropic prices vary widely. From the reasonable $100. or so like Mike paid, to the ridiculous $200.-$300. + on ebay. For some reason, 22mm versions seem to sell for a little less than 20mm ones. Probably because 20mm is a more common lug size on vinta...
