I couldn’t wear a watch with “BlackMotion” on the dial. It sounds like a hip hop dance group you’d see on America’s Got Talent.

Would be a pretty nice watch if they came to their senses and got rid of that text.

The watch world seems to be full of near misses.

Is it me or is super sized crowns becoming the thing? I'm going to guess that, in this case at least, it's because this is supposed to be an aviator's watch. See Big Pilot .. it's supposed to mimic the crown from the old dashboard timers... hqdefault.jpg Really? Doesn't look anything like those (th...

72 new watches seems to be the equivalent of saying “our current catalog of watches is shit, so here’s some new ones”
And they'd be right.

Re: Baselworld 2019 - Breitling with 72 new watches

I still fail to comprehend why companies like Breitling - with a deep back catalog of great watches - don't just take the easy road and reissue some of their best vintage pieces in modern-sized cases. They could mindlessly crank them out for years and they'd probably sell like hotcakes. I'd buy any ...

Although busy as hell, I think the 1959 Navitimer reissue is the best of the bunch.

So I must have missed it, where is Swatch showing their novelties now that they'd exited Basel? Hoping to see the new Speedy Pro with new movement and maybe 2254 remake based on the new wavy bond case https://monochrome-watches.com/swatch-group-to-have-its-own-watch-fair-in-zurich-during-baselworld...

Re: Sinn BaselWorld 2019

The Arktis is nice but I can't help but feel that Sinn pricing is out of control. The watch is pushing $4K. Wasn't the original Arktis about $2500? That blue Frankfurt chronograph is $4400 on a leather strap

You guys seem to think the acronym stands for Audemars Piguet, but it obviously stands for Asinine Pricing.

Looks like the Longines Heritage Military is finally hitting ADs. My local Longines AD pinged me the other day saying that they had one in stock and I see that the Hodinkee Shop just got them in as well. Cool watch, but I still can't get past the 'age spots' on the dial. https://hodinkee.imgix.net/...

What if the only way I’m able to enjoy my watch is by obsessing (I’m not) about how to not scratch the clasp? To each his own I'm as...
