Re: In The Meanwhile: U1-P Strap Options

I like the NATOs in general (the grey and black especially), but not a fan of the watch on leather or canvas.

Your unplanned blood donor session notwithstanding, I still think the watch looks the best on the bracelet

Re: Potential PITA Buyers

The best are the international tire kickers with zero post count acting like you owe them something. Have traded my last few bigger pieces through Topper or Govberg and lost a little more money than I'd like, but it's honestly still preferable to the alternative. Govberg is the worst low-baller on ...

The New Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special Silver

Yup, that's what they're actually calling it.

Luckily they're only making 200 of these monstrosities - at $8K a pop.

That makes a very strong case for being the ugliest watch ever made.
I'd say we have a winner.

You should give the bracelet a try.

But I agree, it looks best on the bracelet.

Re: Potential PITA Buyers

Sounds like some pretty short fuses around here ;) The last few times I had a watch for sale I was sure that the person inquiring about it was a scammer - PMs with nothing more than 'Is the watch still available?" and a very low post count made me wary. But I usually give people the benefit of the d...

Re: Weiss 42mm Limited American Issue Field Watch

I especially like how he implements the hacking seconds feature into his cal 1003. Pull the crown and the seconds hand will continue to rotate until it reaches 12, where it stops perfectly in position, ready to sync up with your time setting. That's a cool feature. The Panerai P.1000 movement incor...

Re: Weiss 42mm Limited American Issue Field Watch

A healthy amount of applied lume on the numerals a la Vertex would’ve made this one a more attractive option for the price point I actually prefer it this way, adds to the understated look of the watch. Reminds me of the Stowa Marine Original with blue dial. https://www.watchuseek.com/wp-content/up...

His watches always look at little rough to me. This one seems less so than others.
It could be the photography, but I thought this one looked better than previous efforts too.

Weiss 42mm Limited American Issue Field Watch

This is one of the better articles I've seen on this watch and the Weiss-produced movement. Worth a read.. https://monochrome-watches.com/review-weiss-42mm-limited-american-issue-field-watch-american-made-movement-price/ Still hate the logo, but the watch is quite nice looking. https://d23x6d9cx8qez...

New Hamilton Khaki Field 'Murph'

I have to admit that I didn't see the movie Interstellar and so don't fully appreciate the link this watch has to the film, but it's a cool looking watch in it's own right. 42mm, tweaked H-10 movement with 80 hrs of power reserve and 2555 of the watches will come with special packaging designed by t...
