Thanks, gents. That helps - the 3227 was plenty big enough.

I just have to suck it up and get the 15400. Eventually.

Do it! Don't settle - the 15400 is simply astounding!

Mimo contacted me and said DOXA is now ready to ship. His watches come with full 2 year DOXA warrantee and he beats the website price.
I'm still baffled that DOXA told me that Mimo isnt an AD

Re: Ever sold a watch because of weight?

Yes. I’ve sold every U-series Sinn I’ve owned because of weight. 45mm Planet Oceans too. I loved all the larger, heavier watches I’ve owned but when something had to go it was the heavy ones first. Since I wear most of mine on nato it was an easy choice. The 45mm PO on bracelet is the only watch th...

Which model is that? 44mm?
PAM590, 44mm, 8 day in-house hand-wound movement.
Is there anyone with a more affordable 8 day movement?
Not that I can think of.

There's a nice blue Gen. 1 Seaforth for sale on WUS that doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast. No vestigial GMT hand either ;)

Bet you could pick one of these up new from an AD for $5K

Wow. Do people have bots or something buying these somehow?
I wonder if the majority of them are actually pre-sold to existing customers before being made available online. Hard to explain this otherwise.

There's 8 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I'll never understand the thinking behind an argument like the one made in this video. Don't treat the hobby like the stock market where tracking values becomes the primary focus. If you like a watch buy it to wear it and enjoy it. If it's 'market va...

Agree, I think it's a good watch, but the regression from big date on the 49150 to this is a misfire from VC. Plus the ~35% price hike...I'd take a 49150 and call it a day. Speaking of which, anyone want to trade a 49150 for my 47040? :D In general I like big date complications (love my GO) but the...
