Re: New Tag Heuer Autavia Jo Siffert Collector's Edition

And it's sold out https://www.calibre11.com/product/calibre-11-x-tag-heuer-collaboration/ Very interesting that in the link the date window is black like I would have liked it. That is interesting. The photos I posted were from Hodinkee, maybe of a pre-production version. I'd hope that the photos o...

Re: New Tag Heuer Autavia Jo Siffert Collector's Edition

Don't like the bezel with two rows of numbers, looks too busy, prefer the regular production bezel. They should have done the date in black that would make the subdial consistent. For that kinda money I'd rather have something cooler than a Tag Have to agree with you on the $5,600 TAG. Why not get ...

Yes, but the view is a bit obscured by the Jo Siffert signature.

Re: New AP Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph

Expensive, but it's not ugly. I bet the crown screws down too! Stainless steel case, glareproofed sapphire crystal, caseback engraved with the "Royal Oak Offshore" logo in the centre and the word "AUTOMATIC", blue rubber-clad pushpieces and screw-locked crown . Water resistance: 100m

200M "rated" diver with a divers helmet engraved on the case back on a rubber strap and with push/pull crowns is a joke to me. I've moved on. Seems like Richemont is out to ruin JLC like they did Panerai. Rolex Explorer killer, my ass I can’t get past that either. The TTP 1968 was also rated at 200...

Maybe I've been watching too much Shark Tank, but these are poo-poo on a stick. More proof that Sinn needs to bring in Shortell Design Inc. on a full-time basis.

You're right. I like the big date models, which are pretty beefy.
True, you pay about a 3mm penalty in thickness with the big date. The Senator Sixties big date is about 12mm thick, the no-date model is about 9mm.

Re: Glashutte launch today

There's something about many of the GO watches in their case lines - 'the austere German sensibilities', very hard to describe...which other brands like JLC, Blancpain, etc don't struggle with. At least that's my opinion. They are undisputed masters when it comes to doing everything in-house and th...

Re: Find A Watchmaker: Finally got some traction!

It's a nice looking website. I am, however, dubious of the quality of a Rolex Daytona movement service that costs $550 with a three-week turn around time. I wouldn't consider sending my Daytona without a massive number of positive reviews. I wouldn't "go live" without a critical mass of reviews. An...

I feel the same way. No on-crystal cyclops on any of my watches.
