I've always really liked this watch. I think it's one of the watch world's best bargains.

Re: WRUW = Nov 20th '17= Monday

I find IG just very boring, that's all. It will become the next WUS (repetitive and shallow) soon enough. I can only spend about a couple minutes on IG per day. Anything else is basically staring at the same photos over and over. I removed my IG account and ditched the app a couple of months ago. S...

Re: MKII Gen 3 Paradive movement --cheaper !!!

Watch supposedly has the dimensions of the Paradive (a 300M watch), but is rated to 200M. Either its thinner, cheezier made, or the specs are wrong. Do these watches actually get pressure tested? I think it's all just a guess. The watches are patience tested to 7 years. Apparently they pass with fl...

If they're smart they'll call it HoBar. That might draw some good crowds.

Re: Hoodinkee Authorized watch dealer?

Hard to fathom why anyone would buy from the Hodinkee shop rather than a traditional AD when it comes at a cost of 15-20%. They had success with their LEs but if you wanted one of those models they were the only game in town. Selling watches at full price that you can buy from any AD at a healthy di...

Re: Red Bar event Friday

Not to mention the name is gay. I can't wrap my head around the concept. What's the point of an official "Red Bar" meet-up? Why pay a fee just so you can call your meet-up "Red Bar"? Why pay big $$$ to call your burger restaurant "Five Guys' when you could call it "One Guy with a Grill" f...

Wu should start charging too, but just the OP. DWC seems to be his primary design vehicle - why should Wu fund that?

Re: Blurb from Nodus on Micro brands

WUS doesn't take well to businesses that won't pay up. Keep in mind it's no longer a blog site. It's an advertising platform. Right, it is a business that survives on advertising dollars. That's why the site is free to non-commercial users like you and I but charges companies who use the site for t...

Do we need a baselworld anymore? This isn't 1920. Just post your new watch up on instagram...
It's a trade show, not a consumer show. I don't see too many distributors/dealers committing potentially millions of dollars to a brand based on some photos posted to Instagram.

Re: New PCA Speedmaster

I’ve been thinking about how I spend - and all the $$ I’ve spent in watches. Maybe getting to a couple pieces and calling it quits. I’ve loved Porsche since I was a kid and i would love to buy a nice used one in a few years. I was looking up info on used cayman but stopped after I read this: Mechan...

Re: New PCA Speedmaster

I've actually been pricing out new 911's. The 911T is pretty attractive to me as an everyday car. The carbon brakes are cheaper than the watch. Do you know what pad life is like on the ceramic brakes? I know it used to suck if you tracked them. That would make a great everyday car. But for whatever...

At least this one sorta matches someone's Porsche. Yup, any of them with the ceramic brake option - hence the choice of grey ceramic and yellow accents for the watch. https://rennlist.com/forums/attachments/991-gt3-gt3rs-and-911r/858447d1407086287-pccb-or-steel-on-your-991-gt3-2014-porsche-911-gt3-...

If you're looking for a slimmer Radiomir that won't break the bank then a PAM512 (now discontinued) may be a good option. It uses Panerai's thinnest in-house handwind movement and is 42mm in diameter. It also has screwbars and 100m WR. I see them for sale all the time in the $4K range.
