I guess the most shocking thing in the entire video is that Palm is even still around.
They're not. Someone bought the name. The current company has nothing to do with the original company.

I tried it on last week and really liked it, and I'm not usually a Tudor/Rolex guy. It definitely did wear a little smaller than the Speedmaster, though

Re: Blue Pelagos LE

I honestly want to know how much it takes to make something like that. The San Juan Yatch Club is very exclusive and the best fishing tournaments are there. Definitely the kind of people who can make it happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The AD I spoke to told me that it actually doesn't co...

Re: Blue Pelagos LE

I was in my local Tudor AD last week and they told me that Tudor will customize dials (and do custom case back engraving) on any of it's watches if you'll guarantee a minimum purchase of 40 watches.

DWC group buy of 40 of the two-line Pelagos? :)

Nice, I really like that model. It's a shame that the company sold out to Invicta, they had some cool pieces with real history.

The show might be about American watchmaking but the site sounds like it was written by an ESL student. Cringeworthy.

Man, I really pushed for manual for this one, but it's a no-go for my wife. That's the one thing she's firm on. Crazy, but she wants to be able to drive it. Teach her, she would become the BADASS among her friends. I tried teaching my wife once. Recipe for divorce. BTDT. Our first...

The case back on mine has 21800 bph, different from what Jake had on his video.
That's exactly what was on the case back in Jake's video.

This is an extreme example, and there are certainly examples of QC issues with the big boys (or outright fraud *cough* Panerai *cough*) I don't want to open up the 'Brooklyn Bridge' can of worms, but I don't think I'd go as far as calling it fraud. Panerai didn't advertise that the movement was bea...

Re: Wrong Movements Installed in Unimatic U1?

I borrowed a first edition U1 and it didn't have this issue with movement play. I bet the company that assembled these watches had a mix up. I don't think this is uncommon at all though. I have a 1200T Doxa here that was suppose to come with a 2824-2, but it actually has a SW200 in it. This situati...

That was a great video by Jake. It just needed to be like 1/3 of the length. Lots of words. Lots of repetitive words.
+1. I nearly turned it off after watching him nervously fidget with the watch head for the first two minutes. Glad I stuck it out.

Hey hey now. You know that the big guys do stupid shit also.
I'm willing to bet that none of the 'big guys' has ever shipped a watch with the wrong sized movement for the case and slapped a poorly fitting plastic spacer in to try and cover it up. Appalling.

To many colors for me. But I like what they are doing. They seem to be doing the early Heuer thing, I like it. Something different from the standard fare. http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0146/0732/products/SKIPPER-A-GREY_grande.jpg?v=1498065189 https://i0.wp.com/farm9.staticflickr.com/8313/7985379...

Re: im getting bad thoughts on this Farer

These guys, along with Monta and Halios, are at the top of the micro pile imo. Let's be honest, the bar is pretty low. Most micros are either poorly designed poo-poo or blatant rip-offs of popular designs. Farer seems to have taken a different approach - fairly traditional but attractive designs sp...
