Re: Zenith Revival Shadow A384

I tried the SS version and was surprised how well it wore and i fully anticipated to hate the size. But seemed to be fine on my wrist Interesting. I've yet to try on the watch, but the size is the one thing I've been concerned about. Love everything else about the SS version (not a fan of the Shado...

Re: Sinn Increasing Prices This Month

When you can buy a brand new Speedmaster Professional on a bracelet from an AD for just a tiny bit more than some of Sinn's chronographs on a strap, then you know Sinn's prices are getting too high.

Re: Glashutte Original SeaQ 39.5mm Diver in Blue

If GO had to make some numbers smaller, they should have modified the ones in the dial. It looks like they chose to add dot markers on the bezel at the 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 positions where none existed on the original. That left less room for the numbers at those positions and so they had to scale th...

I can’t help but think of how much nicer that LE would’ve been without the faux aged lume.
I don't mind faux lume in general, but I think they went a bit too far with it here - especially when I look at the photo of the vintage watch, which has a much more subtle lume color.

I find this guy incredibly annoying, but he does provide a good overview of the watch. The bracelet seems very well designed.

FWIW, here is a comparison shot from Fratello showing the original SeaQ (left) and the recent re-edition: https://fratellowatches.imgix.net/2019/05/GlashuetteOriginalSeaQ1969-1-39-11-01-80-06-1.jpg Most of the design elements have been carried over from the original, including the font, arrow minute...

I'm sure it's well made, but it doesn't look like a $10,000 watch to me with those cartoon arabics
It's only 1.7 HTC, it's not that bad.

Re: Glashutte Original SeaQ 39.5mm Diver in Blue

I'm a big fan of GO - I find their designs interesting, the watches are beautifully made and in pretty small numbers. I like this blue-dialled SeaQ quite a bit, but I think my favorite version is the LE that was produced in an edition of only 69 pcs. It's closest to the original. http://en.worldtemp...

Re: The Hodinkee Eight-Day Travel Clock LE

.Like Todd said, you can get a JLC Atmos clock for that much, and nobody considers even that a bargain... Yeah, but it's not travel size ;) But at least there will be someone there to service it should it ever need it. The Hodinkee clock, with it's unserviceable vintage Pontifa movement, will likel...

C'mon- most high end places have a bed side clock anyway...These guys have no sense of reality...
I'm sure even Holiday Inns have a frigging clock beside the bed. Of course it won't have a custom font face designed by a well-known designer...

I'd like it a lot better w/o the GMT and date.
