Re: Is non screw down crown a deal breaker for people?

As long as the watch has the appropriate level of water resistance then I don't care how it's implemented. There are many iconic dive watches that do not have screw-down crowns.

Would anyone choose the Farer over the Longines?
Not me. I think the Longines is the nicer of the two watches. I'd also feel more comfortable owning a watch from a Swatch group company than a relatively new upstart.

Thanks for the heads up Tom.

I expected 'Chronoris' to be a chronograph of some sort  And it rhymes with a female body part...

I'm going to sound like Mike here, but you can buy an original on a GF bracelet for a lot less than that. Nobody in their right mind would pay $38K for a Tag reissue.

Love that Monza reissue. A friend of mine just mentioned he might be in the market for one, so let me know when you're ready to flip.

Re: Modern Cars Do Nothing Leave Me Cold

Audi's Virtual Cockpit does a much better job. I just bought an S3 to use a daily driver and looked around for one without the VC. I spend enough time looking at a computer screen, I don't want to look at one while I'm driving. The analog gauges look much better IMHO. My reference to Audi Virtual C...

Re: Modern Cars Do Nothing Leave Me Cold

Same feeling here about modern 911s. If you want a Porsche that feels like a 'proper' sports car buy one from 1998 or earlier, preferably '87-'89 or '95-'98. There's a reason the market for those cars is still hot. Re: the Cayman, those are great cars. My Cayman R was a joy to drive, it had the best...

Re: Breitling's Aviator 8 Mosquito

I like it but $7700 is a bit much for a Breitling. At 25-30% off it could be compelling. I do think their watches have gotten a lot nicer under Kern.

I saw a civic type R today. It was awesome looking but really really quiet. I want either a CTR or a Subaru STI, but the lack of sound on the civic was really disappointing. i do not know. everyone and their mother here has an exhaust on their sti/wrx's they sound like shit imo. :banghead: i like t...

Its nice, just not $30k nice.
I think the real show is around back. But I can think of at least 50 watches I'd rather have at this price point (or well below).

It's a stainless steel monopusher chronograph with a Minerva movement. LE of 25, includes a trip to Montblanc in Switzerland. Just $30K.

I feel like this logo looks like more like a toilet flushing than the James bond logo.
I think it's to signify that this model is circling the drain.

That may have been better as an LE of 007. May have had a slightly better chance of selling them out that way.
