Re: New iPhone battery case

I was watching Unbox Therapy’s video on it. It’s a biggun, but looks well made. It’s got to be the best way to extend range without having to carry an extra power bank.

Re: 62MAS 3 FACET HANDS on a SBDC063

They aren’t bad but they look a bit thin for the watch. If they were a hint girthier they’d be perfect.

I think you might be able to get some glow under a black light if some pervert got some alone time with it.

I use swappa to buy my used gear. Check it out https://swappa.com/laptops/macbooks
I hadn’t considered used. I may now. I should get plenty for what I need that way.

Re: USB home/car chargers

Quick chargers make a huge difference over the standard Apple plug. For wall outlets iPad bricks work so much better. I bought something similar for my wife’s vehicle and it works great on her type C plug LG and Samsung S9. I got lucky with my truck as it does fast charging through the factory Sync ...

Re: Thinking about a new device

Funny that I decided to start thinking about this topic this weekend. Looks like my computer screen is almost completely dead. If I so much as bump the case the screen goes black until I readjust the hinges and it doesn’t come back on immediately upon moving it either, so now I’m on my phone. Even ...

Re: Swing and a miss

nice! you can use double back tape also I thought about that but then I was worried I didn't have thin enough tape to make sure the hands still had clearance since the 5 logo is so thick. That and I would have had to pull the hands and I was worried about realigning them since the 7S26 doesn't hack...

Re: Thinking about a new device

Check out Apple’s certified refurbished program for a nice discount and full factory warranty. I just bought a new MacBook and the screen and speakers are amazing. That's a big plus for me. I spend most of the time watching YouTube on my computer and while my last iPad has better specs than my curr...

Re: Swing and a miss

Torrid's House O' Watch Repair just got ahold of this one. I'm still not sure if it actually has a short power reserve because she doesn't remember exactly when she took it off, but it was in her school bag. Anyway I busted out the cheapo watch tool kit I have, popped it open and used a little non-a...

Re: Thinking about a new device

I might actually buy the older Macbook Air while it still is available new. I do like the new type C connector setup, but it doesn't have a standard USB for pretty much everything I use connectability wise, which the older model does have and the specs are very close. Do not buy the older MacBook A...

The case doesn't even have giant gouges in it, how did she manage that

Maybe she needs a g-shock :)
It's not easy to see in the picture but there are deep gouges in the crystal. I looked at it last week and the dial was a hint loose. I think the other dial foot finally broke off.

Re: Thinking about a new device

I have an imac at home and like 3 or 4 surfaces. I way prefer the PC's to the imac. I find the PCs far easier than the Mac. I know I'm likely in the minority here. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk The thing is I actually have very little experience with Mac which makes me think I would find t...

Re: Thinking about a new device

^^This. I miss my desktop iMac. The screen was amazing. Get a MacBook! They are great. I just wanted the versatility. Nothing wrong with a classic. This is where I’m at. I’m so sick of fixing Windows issues in this house. My wife is the only one now with a Windows laptop. My kids both have iPads, o...

Re: Thinking about a new device

I’ve been a Mac guy for almost 20 years. Love them. They just work. That said last year I jumped to the iPad Pro and it’s my main workhorse. I’m sold and probably won’t go back. But I’m a writer and my needs are not process heavy. Apple is more expensive but worth it. This is my main issue. I liked...

It can be fixed, but would likely cost more than $56 ;(
Exactly. Between the short power reserve and dial spun I bet I would be in it at least $150.

Swing and a miss

I'm not upset, but I am surprised. My 9 year old became fascinated with my mechanical watches, so I bought her this SNK for $56. This is how it turned out. I think she's a bit too rough on things to have a watch right now. It also stopped after about 20 hours. I think this is the end of the road for...

Re: Thinking about a new device

That is a bit much. I see what you mean. I don't know exactly which Macbook I will get just yet, but that is my first choice. I just know this Dell is about to die because the screen flickers every time I move the screen and I think the plug going into the board is going bad. I've taken it apart and...

Re: Thinking about a new device

I think most Macbook users would agree that even if they're not always worth the price (although I paid around ~$1200 for my current MBP and I think it has been worth every penny), the UI, ease of use, and general refinement of these things makes them a great buy. :1: I’m not a power user by any me...

Thinking about a new device

So I recently sold my iPad Pro after getting an iPhone 8 Plus. I'm very happy with the 8 Plus and haven't given a second thought to a Xs. I'm used to the interface the 8 uses since it's still designed and operated much as every iPhone in history has, but made the iPad feel redundant considering I bo...

I imagine it would be about as slippery as any other iPhone. I use my 8 Plus without a case. The last phone I used with a case was the SE and it was too small to really grip well.

Re: iPhone XR or XS/XSmax?

Everyone is reluctant to move to FaceID at first. But it just works. I get that. I don’t dislike the idea. It’s just that in my line of work I have to be discreet when I do use my phone and I don’t often raise it to my face checking things. I wish they’d add a fingerprint scanner to the back like a...
