Re: Seiko PADI mod

Took a swing at this today. Wasn’t as quick or dramatic as I thought. The fading on my bezel isn’t super apparent in low light, but it did kill some of the gloss and matches the dial better. It shows the most fade near the minute dots. I thought I would have had problems with it ghosting out extreme...

How are the canvas straps?

Looking at the ISO I’m reminded how much I can’t understand how people can sell things without cleaning them.
That makes my skin crawl. I had a bracelet show up once so funky I almost vomited cleaning it. Ugh.

Re: Seiko PADI mod

Got a quick photo of his finished mod. Asked it be a bit lighter than normal. Can't wait to get it! https://i.imgur.com/Qj0vLFZh.jpg I can’t believe I missed this until now. I love the look. I’ve been thinking of attempting the bleach bezel myself. Your lume aging looks much better than most I’ve s...

I have heard that the copper in rose gold will oxidize and thus eventually you'd see it shift from rose to yellow gold. rolex is supposed to fix this issue though and that is why the call it EVERose.
Mine is still pink.

Can’t beat the accuracy of these METAS certified movements. I set mine fast but it’s less than 1 second fast per day, over more than 3 weeks.

Re: New no date GS divers

It's been awhile since I researched Seiko USA's capabilities... Can they swap the GS battery and pressure test? Seiko’s Service Center in Mahwah did warranty service on my GS Spring Drive diver (replaced scratched crystal, serviced movement), all at no cost. Scratched crystal? Was it sap...

Re: New no date GS divers

Honestly, I don’t understand how Seiko doesn’t go out of business. I guess they are selling enough Tunas and NAFTs. And tens of thousands of strip mall watches in the $100-300 range across the world. I bet this wears well with the samuari-style case but if I'm getting a GS quartz it would b...

I love Weiss, aside from the logo itself. I like what they are doing and what they stand for. I really like the white standard field model.

Honestly, I don’t understand how Seiko doesn’t go out of business. I guess they are selling enough Tunas and NAFTs. Yeah. Did they do other stupid things after the Anko disaster?

I liked some of the crepes designs, but this one is a big miss for me
Was that the watch with the loose dial movement screws? It’s vaguely familiar after looking at the Anko pictures.

Re: New no date GS divers

Samurai style case, bright colors, surely expensive. SMH MSRP of $4300. GTHO. Seiko has lost their damn minds with pricing. For half that they might have an argument, but it’s just the wrong proportions. The Tuna is still the best value in Seiko quartz divers, but it would be nice to have a dressie...
