Re: Ever sold a watch because of weight?

Heavy watches usually get them sold pretty quick, especially since I rarely wear big watches.

Re: Shogun vs Pelagos

Just a great looking watch. I’ve never handled one and I’ve always been drawn to the Black Bay, but I think I would pick the Pelagos these days. It seems more modern yet somehow cleaner at the same time.

Love the Shogun but the 6r15 movement sucks!
Roger that. I really dislike that movement. I don’t mind it in the $300 SARB and it’s a bit more consistent than previous ones I’ve owned, but not at that price.

I think this looks better than the regular quartz Tuna. These hands are much better, closer to the original version.

Not sure this belongs on a NATO, but if I’m trying it on one, it’s got to be a Toxic. I think the charcoal grey color works well at least.

Going to wear the Explorer again. After two days I haven't quite bonded with it, maybe today's the day? https://i.imgur.com/UF9qukR.jpg What about it feels off? I think it's probably just that it's not a diver, any time I've tried wearing anything else it doesn't stick. I want to love it, it seems ...

I’ve seen it because there’s a lot of times I’m still working, though I couldn’t tell you the exact time it happens on my watches.

I hate to say it, but a red line selvedge stitched edge without that stupid leather might have looked like a more normal NATO.

Re: Duarte has a NE15 for sale

My SARB has the 6R15D. It’s a bit more consistent when worn than my previous ones, but it still loses time like crazy until it gets to full wind. I love Seiko’s style at this price point, but I’d buy another Hamilton with the 80 Hr power reserve over another 6R15. Really want another Khaki and ever...

Re: any datejust owners here?

Although I was tempted by the new 41s, I do not like the big clasp on a DJ and they mess up easily (have one on my GMT and it has looked like shit since day one with the scratches on the polished center) I always wanted a classic 36 in white or black, with the WG bezel and jubilee bracelet with the...

Re: any datejust owners here?

Dammit you guys, was half expecting/hoping this crowd to be more like "if watches were sex positions, the DJ would be missionary style" or something to that effect. I truly feel it’s a hidden gem in the watch collector world. It’s all Submariner, Sea Dweller, and Explorer line, pretty much in that ...

Re: any datejust owners here?

I love the Datejust. I would have never given one a thought a couple of years ago, but recently I’d prefer one even to the Explorer. I love the blue with smooth bezel. Used to think I wanted an Explorer 1, but given the new movement in the DJ it seems like a far more interesting watch. Agreed. Appe...

Re: Duarte has a NE15 for sale

I must be new but what's wrong with 6r15 anyway? I've had shogun for a few months and other Seiko watches with that movement and didn't notice anything They are hit or miss on reliability and accuracy. The newer D versions are improved if I recall. My SARB has the 6R15D. It’s a bit more consistent ...

Re: New 2018 Seiko SPB077/079

I like these new models more than the MM300 personally. They should have used the MM300 rubber on the blue bezel though. That’s what I’d use when not using NATOs, but it definitely belongs on a NATO.

Recently picked up this, a Ford Ranger limited Black edition. That's a cool looking truck. I would get one but I don't want to be grouped in with truck-bros Truck bros? What does that even mean? And how would that remotely fit the description for a mid size truck like the Raptor? Since we’re talkin...

Got talked into getting a 3-row a couple yrs back by my soon-to-be ex-wife. Not too many body on frame w/3rd row. Still wish I had bought a Taco like I wanted, but I wouldn't be able to stash my fishing poles against the headliner like I do with the Pathfinder https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180...
