Re: Seiko Prospex Diver SPB107 - Topper LE

Picture below is from a Worn And Wound article. https://i.imgur.com/uOe3wYN.jpg I think the strap has a Pre-V buckle. https://i.imgur.com/MmoZDgD.jpg?1 If so, I might want to swap it out for a thumbnail buckle, hopefully Seiko. Anyone have a good source for a buckle in a similar finish? I think it’...

I think all trucks in general are nuts price wise. Felt that way when I got my current one but I felt good enough about the deal. I see myself driving what I got for a long time.

That is bad ass brother!!! Let me know when she needs another strap!! She’s already asking for crazy colors. I think I’ll get her a couple of shiznits soon since I don’t have any in 20mm. Another WIS has been established. [emoji6] Yep, I’m screwed. She already asked if she could have my NAFT and sa...

Re: Seiko modding time !

I made the non-oem mistake on one of my turdle day wheels. The Saturday was black instead of oem blue, which drove me mad, so I had it replaced with the patina mod with oem kanji day wheels I noticed mine is that way, but I wasn’t sure if it was just because it’s a black date wheel. My new Tuna wit...

Finally figured out what was wrong with my daughter’s Seiko SNK807 and I’m not 100% sure she was the factor in breaking it, so we’ve decided to give her another chance with a decent watch. Basically what happened was that one of the SNK’s dial feet fell off and then wedged the rotor stuck when it go...

Re: Seiko PADI mod

I use the same stuff for my titanium etching - whink rust remover. First I clean with toothbrush and alcohol wearing gloves. Takes about 45seconds to get to that level so you need windex to stop the process and then water to rinse immediately. Never touch the whink as it’s hydroflouric acid based. ...

Re: Seiko PADI mod

Took a swing at this today. Wasn’t as quick or dramatic as I thought. The fading on my bezel isn’t super apparent in low light, but it did kill some of the gloss and matches the dial better. It shows the most fade near the minute dots. I thought I would have had problems with it ghosting out extrem...

Re: Grand Seiko Snowflake SBGA211 Review

It is incredible how much I dislike the new branding VS the old one. It makes the dial completely off visually. Am I the only one? No. I bitched about the lack of font consistency in the old dial, and was happy to see a change. Then I saw what the change was, and felt bad for trashing the old dials...

The more I look at it, the more I love the bezel in particular. It’s finished like the SBBN015’s insert. I like the SBBN031 glossy one, but this grooved design is much more interesting.

How are the canvas straps?

Looking at the ISO I’m reminded how much I can’t understand how people can sell things without cleaning them.
That makes my skin crawl. I had a bracelet show up once so funky I almost vomited cleaning it. Ugh.

I have heard that the copper in rose gold will oxidize and thus eventually you'd see it shift from rose to yellow gold. rolex is supposed to fix this issue though and that is why the call it EVERose.
Mine is still pink.
