Re: Question on my UTS 2000M

John, now I really feel bad about not attending enough. :-( Could I have ordered enough mozzarella sticks to keep them in business??

Re: Question on my UTS 2000M

Thanks! I'll just post with a price I think will hit the market, and then be willing to move from there. I DO need to get to the Red Bar! I've published two books and a new website (not on watches) since I last attended, all of which has taken lot out of my Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The summe...

Question on my UTS 2000M

I might be selling it. It's coming up on one year old now, but I can't find the paperwork. How much of a $-hit does that represent? Are UTS warranties transferable? Stephen Newman hasn't written me back yet.... Thanks to all!

Great pics, Jason. It does have superb legibility. I'm looking forward to my non-chrono Aquatimer, which is on order at my AD!

Rob, I've had most of the watches in your fantastic collection, and I must say, the Fifty Fathoms is my favorite one! I have it on the strap now, and will put it back on the bracelet next week. And like Dave says, I am liking the Rolexes more and more too! http://www.oldskooltrack.com/stuff/fifty.fa...

Re: New hardware

Thanks, Adam. It's due to the encouragement and good sense of you and Bill that I became interested in this brand. When I sort of forget I have this watch on my wrist and then look to see what time it is, I must confess that it doesn't look like a watch at all. It looks more like some kind of engine...

Re: New hardware

No pics of the IWC yet, since it will be 10 weeks till it hits my AD! The UTS arrived a few days ago. I'll take better pics later on, but I really like this watch. Somehow it doesn't make me want to baby it which I usually do. I want to photograph the ratcheting clasp. Stephen asked for my wrist siz...

You guys! This thread reminds me exactly why I like this forum so much - the true love for diving watches, great taste (in watches at least), the wit and the experience - all that keeps this place real! :headbang:

1st pref here - sell and go shopping.
2nd pref - leave alone. I like a polished surface and can resurrect with Cape Cod any time
3rd pref - if you really want to keep it and brush it, then have it done professionally

Re: What does this mean????

To tell you the truth, I'm a Breitling fan, but the Steelfish has never appealed to me. I also find that if a watch doesn't appeal to me right away, it won't grow on me over the next few weeks or months. Never happened. I have sold a watch, then a year or more later my taste changed and I liked it. ...

Re: Pls forgive - WUS-style "which watch" question!

Thanks for the informative replies! Here are some immediate thoughts: =I'm sensitive to resale value, but it's not a show-stopper. =I like the DWC answer "Get both!" I think that "look into your heart" is a TZ answer. =I think about the UTS more these last two weeks. =I'm not crazy about blue dials,...

Pls forgive - WUS-style "which watch" question!

IWC Aquatimer 2000 black+yellow on bracelet vs. the UTS 2000M on bracelet . I'll ask this question about which diver, even though I know the most common answer will be "Get the one that YOU want." I know this. But I'm going back and forth, and don't mind some peer pressure and expert advice. I have...

Sounds like a great forum! One thread!

It reminds me of the most active thread I've ever been part of, "Shoes that look better with age" on superfuture.com. One thread, 5.5 years old, with 22,768 posts! It's for fans of vintage shoes and workwear boots.
