Re: Anyone picked up or planning to pick up the new iPhone?

Hi all As someone that used to work in Mobile Industry specialising in Mobile Data I used to get equipment to test and demo with for free from Ericsson and others. Back in those days even top end phones were free on a reasonable monthly plan and just a 12 month contract. Then came the £200-£300 top ...

Re: Well that didn't take long...

Hi all, Yes I watched both the MotoGP race and then the F1 it was a good day for me watching my favourite sports. I'm going to be upfront I really can't stand whiny Vettel and haven't since his dominant Red Bull days but he sunk to a new all time low IMHO with his actions in this race. Not only did ...

Hi Stewart, Too much beer or not I think I can see what your problem is you are instilling values you have onto others and unfortunately in this me me me world we find ourselves living in Wall Street (The Film) Greed is good, Money rules Fef everyone else and morality is out of fashion and sadly vir...

Re: Looking for a none subscription virus scan

Hi Mike. I always used to use Norton but in the end found it started to slow down my computer and I hated how expensive it was getting to. I now use and have been using Windows Defender for free for a long time now and have found it works as well if not better then many paid for solutions out there....

Re: Someone made a quick profit flipping the Hodinkee VC watch

Hi all, Unless it was the dealer that bought the watch and flipped I seriously doubt the original owner saw any profit and may of been lucky enough to just get his money back out IMHO. Most dealers seem to work on about 40% markup from what they buy their stock in for and then re sell it at from wha...

I was once told by a well respected and experienced watch dealer that it is really easy to make a small fortune in watch dealing you just need to start with a large fortune.

Hi andy, Couldn't agree with you more and as for my own one off use I can only blame the folly of youth as it was some 30 odd years ago and is most definitely not the sort of behaviour I would either encourage or applaud far from it is the case. But really I was just trying to explain to @james80 wh...

Re: Superb day @ Oulton Park (Cheshire)

@james80 Some people are wise enough to stick another plate on their road car if they take it to a track day so no social media pictures get the attention of any insurance companies that a road car they insure is racing around a track on various track days, as for some reason they seem to not like t...

Hi all, Whilst your point about everyone having cameras is true I believe these models are not on general display but are only shown privately to customers who have had to sign an NDA before seeing them. If you are found out to have not kept to the NDA no more SE's or special treatment and invites f...

Re: Think you can drive or ride?? hang on to your nuts

Hi all, I have driven faster than that numerous times and mainly back in 2000 when I was collecting cars from Germany and bringing them back to the UK for an exotic car dealer. But I have not and never would drive as badly and recklessly as the driver's in the video by undertaking and the bikers are...

Re: Interesting new Panerais that are getting almost no cove

Hi all, Apparently the reason some of those watches from Panerai are not getting any reporting on by the main stream watch media is they are not meant to be shown yet to the general public and are meant for only SIHH viewing only. At least until Panerai lift the embargo on reporting on them for mere...

Re: Drew's old zenith I think. Sick.

Hi all, That is a real beauty but for a watch that is just around a year old running at a solid +7 seconds a day is off what it should be doing although the price seems good. Getting it to run better should be covered under the warranty, but I don't know how much a Zenith Tang buckle would cost but ...

Hi all, I only sold one this year the Rolex Sea Dweller 16600 and had one incoming the Vacheron Constantin Overseas 42042/423A and this may be on it's way to being my only watch for 2017 and beyond, As I am seriously considering selling everything else off due to my failing health. https://c5.static...

Hi all, Saw the chronograph the other day on Hodinkee and did think it looked beautiful but just not worth $28k although I can appreciate the Minerva movement and the fact that increased the price, fortunately for me I just don't like chronographs once their on my wrist so its just not for me. Hi all, Well it's back and it has started to air now, the production is definitely bigger than before with more razzamataz but I'm not so sure its better IMHO.
