Re: Hodinkee Interview with Bonati - on 21 years leading OP

I travel all over the world and encounter people of various layers of financial wealth. In the last year I have seen more Pam’s then ever before. Maybe I’m just noticing them more, but I think there are just more of them being sold. I was in a meeting a couple of weeks ago with a dozen Asian busines...

Welcome to DWC!

Good luck on your hunt. I believe I have the same band NOS - in silver, which won’t help you, but keep looking, I’m sure you’ll find one

Just back in from service! I am thrilled, the bezel, hands and dial were saved and after a complete overhaul inside its running fantastically well. This is going to be a regular for me, as much as I am allowed to say that with my track record [emoji23][emoji23][emoji849] https://uploads.tapatalk-cd...

Re: Incoming - Going Outside My Comfort Zone for Comfort

That is a gorgeous watch, but the amount of discussion on wether it is too small or not leads me to believe that it may be exactly that: too small ;) Looks great in pics tho! I only say that as a committed, habitual fliper. That said, I no longer wait more than a few hours to make a decision - if it...

Love Oris - not a fan of their propriaraty strap system. Their OEM straps are great, tho, and as stated, the buckle rig is one of the best in the business

[My advice is this...go there and park a few times at different times of the day (around morning commute, midday, evening commute, weekend). Walk around and get a feel for what it's like as far as noise and activity.
Mark does this all the time. In his underwear and a trench coat...

Re: Heck of a random gift

 My dad was into watches at a young age, but he was also a tech geek. So the advent of atomic + solar watches really captured him as cool technology, and he hasn't looked back! He's gifted me with plenty of G-Shocks or similar watches, but unfortunately no old Rolexes. Congrats! I gifted you ...

BTW, I emailed HODINKEE about sponsored reviews and "ryan" emailed me and said: "All sponsored articles are explicitly labeled as such, as required by US law."

No idea if that's true or not (?), just reporting what he said.

Re: New metal Casio G-Shock 5000s

I think Casio is going to have to do something different. This type of watch plastic or not is directly competing with smart watches. Casio has already started on this path but I hope it's not too late. Once smart watches dial in water resistance Gshock is in trouble. Just my opinion, I could be wr...
