Re: Watch trading: a cautionary tale ****Update***

lol thanks gents - pretty cool actually. I emailed them yesterday to thank them and ask where I could purchase a booklet for the watch and they said they'd send me one free as well when they returned the watch. SO cool... My kit will now be complete :)

As someone mentioned, it’ll get done right and come with a warranty - this might help you fetch a better price.

It’s also possible that Tudor might handle it or mitigate the cost. Worth a shot and it’s a one stop solution.

Re: Watch trading: a cautionary tale ****Update***

RSC Dallas got back with me - they are performing a full service “Compliments of Rolex” BOOOM! Super psyched about this. I suspect there was a defect in the movement and they are just swapping it out (?). Not really sure, but I don’t care either way... I’m happy though. In effect, I will now basical...

I had a 46mm glycine that wanted to be one of these - wore like a big flat plate on my 7” wrist.

Just saying I recommend you try that one on before buying if possible

Re: Watch trading: a cautionary tale

^^ I've experienced the same so I'm sure it'll show up. I did learn something from this, though, is that shipping priority for 2 days is about 60 bucks for the medium box with 3K insurance. Shipping registered mail, supposedly insured with the same amount, also in a medium priority box was only 38 b...

Re: Watch trading: a cautionary tale

The Tudor has been delayed in getting to RSC, according to USPS; I insured it for 3K. Is it wrong of me to wish for the package to get lost or stolen in transit? :banplz: USPS likely won’t cover it if lost, so let’s not hope for that. Even though it allows you to purchase the insurance, I recall th...

Re: Watch trading: a cautionary tale

I predict $500 or less. Think positive. That would be a great Christmas present. Best part is the watch is immaculate and if they get it running, they’ll supply a two year warranty, from what I’ve read, which would make it a virtually new(ish) watch. I don’t see that happening, but I’m trying to th...

^^^ thanks  A lot of people texted or pm’d me to tell me I was nuts, but although I’m pretty pissed off about the whole thing, I feel ok about it. At least today. Nice truck Paul, On a different note: I went to leave my house at 05.45 this morning for training, and as soon as I opened my door, my recently acquired Toyota Hilux of 6 weeks was not in front of my house. Some ass hole has stolen my vehicle during the evening. Hugely pissed off as I'd only finish...

Re: New IWC Pilot's Watches

I can't afford these anyway, but I'm never buying another watch with in house movement again. What a pain. Granted, I bought grey market, but with two year warranties being the norm, after 24 months and one day you are stuck with a lifetime of expensive maintenance/repair bills. Flame suit on..

Re: IWC Spitfire Timezoner

I would prefer a bigger crown, more stuff on the bezel, a bigger font for the “TIMEZONER” name (cause it’s just so bad a$$) and instead of diffent colors for the hands and numbers (?), maybe a THIRD color, potentially black out ‘cause that’s in these days. Wrap that puppy up and I’m in for twice the...
