Re: Ever sold a watch because of weight?

Love the U1 - and have had several - but weight was never an excuse to sell them. My issue was with how much my wrist changes in size during the day. Lighter watches, when loose, are easier to wear whereas the heavier ones slide down too far. The U1, when the wrist properly fills the void, is a plea...

Re: Shogun vs Pelagos

A bit of apples and oranges, IMO

I’ve had both a couple of times and although the Seiko is cool and all, the Pelagos is on a whole other level.

Very, very nice upgrade

I was able to source 1/2 links for mine and they did the trick, but adjustable is the bees knees ;)

Re: Hamilton in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series

Thanks Tom - I think it looks great (even the oversized 9) - My experience with Hamilton is that they make great watches at moderate prices and most models have better than decent lume

Good stuff

Edit: 30 minute chronos are kind of worthless, imo..

Re: Been thinking of finally trying a Pelagos

Brice and Paul should just buy a Pelagos, split the cost and pass it back and forth monthly ;) Hey now! You’ve hurt my last feeling - I’ve only had two Pelagos  Actually, though, a better idea would be for my brother Brice to buy one and I could hold on to it for him during his “time off” ...

Re: Seiko SBDX001

Most threads are useless without photos. I thought I'd add one of my SBDX001. I have found the Maratac Mil-Series to be my favorite strap. Nice! Good deal on your bezel issue. I've owned both the 001 and 17 and don't remember 'rocking', but then I don't have watches long enough to notice much anywa...

I sat next to a Doctor on a ten hour flight who was sporting a blue one. I don’t want to disparage the watch in case somebody has one on here, but let’s just say I thought the blue was :puke:

Haha

Re: Pelton watches

I have to be honest and say that I don't care where a watch is made. I like the examples above but for $2500 there are a lot of options - and those would not make the cut (for me). I wish them luck nonetheless.
