Re: MKii / Bill Yao on Gear Patrol [emoji848]

So I read the whole article and I learned that his “strength” is watch design.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t he just copy someone else designs for the most part?

If so, then my strength is also watch design...

The glycine combat sub is a very underrated watch. I’ve owned two of them and they were quality rigs.

Congrats and thanks for the review!

staying at the hotel Del Coronado; fantastic property.
Stayed there for my cousin's wedding. It was great - I didn't want to leave.
I don’t want to leave either, although my military brain is trying to restrict me to one of these draft beers that cost 20 bucks (tip included)

Re: Timefactors retro polyurethane straps

I'd recommend trying Terry's straps. I meant to pick one up the last time around but when they were out of stock I picked up a used Isofrane instead, obviously for much more money. I'll likely get one soon anyway because I'd like to compare them and the reviews on Terry's strap have been stellar. I...

Re: 2264 Running Slow

I've always loved the 2254/2264. I've passed up a couple of 2264s unfortunately. I remember being about to get brand new 2254s online for $1.6k when they were still available. I'm seriously kicking myself now for not following through. Yeah.. nuts how much they cost now. Also, just saw a used speed...

That looks awesome. I see $750 on the used market after you ballers (looking at you, Brice) buy new and flip to me ;) I like the fact that the black isn’t blingy. Not a fan of black coatings that are shiny like all those ‘gunmetal’ finishes... Je ne suis pas un baller [emoji857] mais comme toi je v...

Re: Timefactors retro rubber straps

I use to use one on my Seiko MM. They have fat ends so you can use fat bars if I recall. But they do not work on most watches. They are also silicon and not rubber. I carry an isofrane style rubber strap on my site and Scurfa rubber straps in 20mm. I’ll check out your straps  I’m looking ...

Timefactors retro polyurethane straps

Anyone familiar with these? I’ve had one for about 10 years and it is hands down my favorite strap. They are super comfortable and fill the lug gaps really well. Made out of polyurethane. Anyway, is there a US distributor for a similar strap? I don’t mind buying from timefactors, but I don’t do PayP...

No surprise here - can’t take it off ;)

Btw, I set this watch upon receipt and haven’t reset it since - and it’s been a few weeks now. Gains a second during the day and loses one at night, crown up. Tightest auto I’ve ever had.

Re: watch paralysis

I think I had the 3902 (I believe?) and the generally the same model with chrono complication. Neither bezels were really 'brushed' and were easily scratched...

maybe it's just me :)

Edit: that's the wrong model number ^^
