Junkers (junk!)
Geckota (just ridiculous, big and fat female Gecko)
Monta (almost "get in" or "get on" in Spanish)
Ball (hehe, hehe, he said ball)
Bagelsport (eating contest)

OK, admit it... which watch brand names can you just not get past?

As in, can't purchase because of their name. I will start with the obvious so we get it out of the way now... Karlskrona. My list (I'm sure I will think of more as I see other's lists):  Limes Junkers U-Boat Croton Seagull Wanker Shinola Lew and Huey Undive Deep Blue BTW... a number of these ma...

So glad I picked up a mint version of the 001 recently. It will not leave my collection anytime soon.

Nice looking beater from......

Timex! Call me jaded as they are a Connecticut company but I really like these, especially the white dial/steel bezel. Indiglo lighting is functional.
15% off from Timex direct takes this one down to $134.00.

^^^ Todd --- stick with the black dial, you will have more customers. And too expensive to offer a second white dial option for this one.

It would be expensive. And I just don’t see the demand.

Re: Can I pull this off?

OK, unfortunately, I have rules out the Conny. Just too small at 34 X 42 X 10. Two other contenders, a Seamaster which is 36 X 43 X 11 and an IWC which is 36 X 44 X 12. The SM has a lovely BOR bracelet and the IWC a nice brown gator strap. Thoughts on these two? https://i.imgur.com/lHcqM8N.jpg https...

Same seller also has a Seamaster that is 36mm and the case is also 3mm longer. Might opt for that even though I absolutely LOVE the look of the Conny.

Re: Karlskrona Hemlig Mil Series Dive Watch

Has anyone done a white dial Mil Spec watch? Acrylic or sapphire done and white aluminum insert. This would be something different and unique, IMO. Looks good otherwise, but hoping the lug hole position be closer towards the case. ^^^ Bamford has your white dial. I saw that! Still, I want to see if...

Beautiful watch but the 34mm case size is going to be hard to adjust to.
Exactly. But I have been in a bit of a YOLO mood lately so... if the price stays within reason, I think I might just pull the trigger.

Can I pull this off?

I've always wanted one of these as a pure dress watch for suit and tie days etc. Could care less if it's refinished or not. Two concerns: 1. 34mm X 42mm x 10 size. I'm such a dive watch guy that I'm not sure how a watch this small would feel to me? 2. My wife. She might just kill me if she finds out...

Thank you!
No. Standard aluminum bezel insert. Trying to keep with the minimalistic look and feel of the watch.

Re: Karlskrona Hemlig Mil Series Dive Watch

Yes, no date versions as well. The insert is aluminum. I like them both. A matte ceramic insert would make it perfect. While I certainly understand the allure of the ceramic insert, I want to keep the design specs more inline with the original style. Appreciate your input though!

Part of me does want something on the dial even though most here probably disagree and like it bare bone as it is. :)

Re: Karlskrona Hemlig Mil Series Dive Watch

One design spec of this watch I want to nail is the drilled lug position. I will take th...
