Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

16800 is a great watch. I highly doubt you'll lose money on it. I'm holding out for a matte dial in great shape. That would have been a great buy five years ago. I turned down a full set mint unpolished matte 16800 with caseback sticker for $4500 because it wasn't my birth year. Yikes! What a...

Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

For the record, I'm not looking to buy watches as investments. I'm looking to buy a somewhat vintage piece I can enjoy for a while and make a profit on down the road should I decide to sell it and not give it to my son. I think a 16800 fits the bill as a 1680 is more bills than I can afford!

Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

I think a vintage Rolex Sub is probably the best choice, but with all "investments" of this type, it'll eventually get to be worth more and more to less and less until ultimately it will become almost priceless to almost no one. If you ever watch those classic car auction shows on TV, you'll see ha...

Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

If you were to "invest" some disposable income on a watch today, wear it lightly and take care of it and hope to spring a profit in 10 or so years time, which watch would it be? A somewhat vintage Sub comes to mind but I'd love to hear input/opinions.

Fresh back from Spa Duarte!

I'm absolutely over the moon for this one. I was lucky to find an example in decent nick and now that Duarte has done his magic and relumed the bezel pip, cleaned up the AR on the crystal and regulated the movement, she's all set and ready to go! They are a couple of nice looking watches. Hodinkee has the run down on the designs and prices (it's actually 3 different watches): https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/bremont-mod-collection-introducing Yes. The Argonaut is my pick from the three. The Broadsword costs more than a Vertex, but it clutt...

Stupid money. I'm so glad the Yankees passed. They have truly learned their lesson the past 10 years and have stopped making dumb $$$ deals and stockpiled prospects turning their farm system into one of the best in baseball.

I always wore mine on either the OEM rubber or a Bonetto Cinturini rubber.
Don't care for the style of the OEM and as much as I like the Bon Cin straps, I cannot stand the vanilla smell.

Re: Seiko MM300 - Bracelet or Strap?

Hmmm... I'm worried now about the fit/comfort of the CB as I've read a lot of not great reviews. I'd really prefer a soft, comfortable strap with a nice brushed buckle. Perhaps the Hirsch Pure or alike?

I’m leaning hard towards the Crafter Blue but would prefer to not take my clasp off my bracelet. Does the CB come with a standard buckle that is decent?

Seiko MM300 - Bracelet or Strap?

I have had my MM300 on it's bracelet since I've had the watch and I am considering changing it up a bit. It deserves a really nice, quality strap and I am looking for suggestions. I am leaning towards rubber but I am open to other options. Of course, if you can include a picture... that is a bonus. ...
