. BTW, what brought you here? Just curious..... I'm a married man. I came here in 2009 after a stint as a moderator had finished. I got banned for a while and so I just lurked every now and then. I was let back in a few weeks ago. Now I spend most of my time on the guns/knives/flashlights forum. 2 ...

I like the black plastic. You used to be able to pick these up for around $125. Not sure what they go for today. I'll get one eventually to replace a Luminox.

I have no doubt Earnie squeezed them out. Why I don't know. Was there any remuneration there? Perks? Nobody got squeezed out. No remuneration was ever given aside from trinkets here and there. No perks. With that said, I'll put the rumors to rest and say that the exodus was to start a new watch for...

These guys are taking names or close names of watch stores, known sellers and a host of other people. They are putting their emails in the body of the post instead of using PM. They are going to get a few who don't do their homework.

Re: early 80's, late 70's U.S. Divers Co dive watch

Well, I'm kinda slow at some things, didn't know you guys already know, should have realized it. Called Doxa direct and a guy there named "Andy" said "Send me some pics and I'll see what I can do for you". Will keep you all informed. Right. We pretty much knew that. If that were a Doxa "labeled" wa...

Re: early 80's, late 70's U.S. Divers Co dive watch

Thanks, Finally found out the watch was made by Doxa, and apparently isn't that common. It cost $500 new and a similar one sold for $575 in 2007. Hope I can find the parts for the band. Thanks for all the replies. GWFAMI Shows a nice one http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20220 http...

Although most of these guys seem to be into "modding" the watches and it's a hobby to them. I did find this post SUPER funny. This guy is a poster boy for Ed Hardy. So, I'm at the local mall around here wearing my Rolex Submariner, the Noob Edition paid something around a 100 dollars for it. So, I'...

I need a real answer. I always wondered what folks that aren't from South Louisiana think about those of us who chose to fish bugs out of a ditch/pond/spillway (let me know if you need an explanation on spillway), boil them and then eat them. Are we frowned upon? Because damn they are good. Have yo...

Re: Breaking News: WUS Addresses DOXA Forum deletions..

This boils down to each watch company "owning" their own forum. They just pay for the privilege of hosting it on WUS. So they run it as they see fit. As DMB stated, it's up to each watch company to play by the rules that they want. And they do that. It's sort of the equivalent of letting you bitch a...
